Deluded oh dear, suppose you said that last year with Raheem V City? Robbo V Arsenal and Flanno for the past month?

How are young players ever supposed to succeed if there never given a chance?

Why don't you just wait until after the game, eh?
Our players are up for this. What we lack in skill in some departments, we make up with graft. We did so last season and I'm sure Brendan will have done his homework.

Calm down lad.

Zabaleta back in for them, strong team from City.

We can get at Lescott though. Suarez moving behind Toure, pulling Kompany out, then vertical or diagonal runs v Lescott from midfield or wide.

Cissokho v Navas could be an issue - Coutinho isn't great at tracking back that far or with his positioning defensively, especially when we get pushed into a low block so Henderson's going to be covering for him anyway. Hopefully we can deal with that side of the pitch.

Lucas will hopefully have as good a game against Silva as he did a couple of years ago.

I think we'll be aggressive in our pressing in midfield and try and force City to build up play through their CBs. Otherwise City could exploit us in the spaces either side of Lucas between the lines.

We're not expected to win this at all, let's suprise everyone!

Put Johnson left back Kelly right back.
Go 3 at the back with henderson and Johnson as wing backs.

Hardly any attacking talent in that city team, really surprised they've lined up so defensive.

Forget the score until full time

We're involved in a top of the table clash, that we're not expected to win, and the two top attacking sides in the league.

Enjoy the football, and see where we are at the end. It's much healthier.

Cissokho is an experienced player, I have no idea why people are acting like he has never played a game of top level football before in his life..
One thing does need to be said: in the post-Benitez era, there was media-led clamour (but also some politicking going on at the club) to make the club more English; the idea being that the club had lost the very essence of what it means to be ‘Liverpool’. Guillem Ballague 18/11/10

We need to make Zabaleta work chasing Sterling & Coutinho all day.   Would love to see him subbed out at half.

Guess there wasn't much choice than to play Cissokho, we can't give a kid his first start away to City. Let's hope he has been watching the side and ups his game.

The results are going against us today apart from Everton, but that should'nt really worry us, we have to go and try and get a result, and a draw would still achieve that.

Definitely. The amount of pressure he got after one terrible game is beyond belief. If he has a screamer tonight those same people that were quick to jump on his back will no doubt be the same people praising him for a great performance. Fans these days eh. The amount of knobheads that writ Henderson off is proof in point of how fans view the game these days.
