Dear Jamie,
I started watching football around about the 1997 season, only a 7 year old scouse lad with dreams of ever becoming good enough to play for the red men, week in week out. I never got the chance to live that dream, but you lived it for me, you showed me that it was possible, you embody everything the people of Liverpool stand for. Pride, Passion, Commitment and a never waving sense of strength that not many people have.
You're a true legend of the club and the city, you're the hero to children and men everywhere who have always wanted to pull on the shirt, a footballing man through and through and a true gentleman of the game.
Going to miss knowing that everything will be fine at the back because you're willing to throw your body on the line, all the best Carra and enjoy retirement!
You'll Never Walk Alone!
