I'm glad they went with an actual collar, rather than the proposed "fake collar" we saw on early mockups.

One quibble: the logo & sponsors look so much better in yellow/gold than in white. $:-\$

Well, for my two penny-worth, this looks fake to me. But I suppose that could be a hostage to fortune, since we'll find out soon enough. If it is real, it looks pretty tatty and cheap.

I'll reserve my judgement but that is the shirt that seems to be doing the rounds, so it could be real. If so its fucking awful

Looks like its made from off-cuts. Bits of plain red, red stripes, red check, some gold tinsel and white trimming from a santa hat.

Hopefully this year we will have some decent training gear, New balance do some nice jackets so hopefully they don't go over the top and stick with the nice designs they normally use!

If that's it then I don't think that's too bad to be fair... Okay, so the checkered bit at the top is a bit wierd - quite like the vertical stripes though. Think the yellow trim/piping is ok too.

Not a huge fan of the collar, or the gold bits. But it's not terrible. Hopefully this means the initial mock ups which have been floating around for a while are true and we get that nice black third kit!

Liverpool FC and New Balance will officially reveal the Reds' brand new 2015-16 home kit during a special event at Anfield on Friday afternoon.

More than 1,000 supporters and media will gather inside the stadium's Centenary Stand to see first-team players walk out wearing their full strip for next season.

As well as a Q&A session, a number of Liverpool legends will make guest appearances at Anfield amid a much-anticipated occasion.

The event gets underway at 1.30pm BST and fans around the world can tune in to see the unveiling from 1.45pm via a live stream from the ground.

When the more they add usually the shitter it looks, don't they realise fans usually are crying out for simplicity, not tablecloth stripes and gold edges.

It's done for two main reasons. The main one is so they create pretty obviously different kits from previous ones so people actually go out an buy it rather than just thinking the one they already have is close enough. The other reason is it makes it harder to accurately counterfeit.
