With that team there I fancy a decent win today .

I fancy us to be the better team and have more territory and more shots. Whether we'll win is another matter. We could have 25 shots and not score and they score with their first or second. Lets hope SaS have their shooting boots on.

that's the good thing now though, you'd fancy at least one of suarez or sturridge to have their shooting boots on

I'm quite confident of that despite  Luis having a mare midweek.

Surprised they are resting so many after a weeks break & the final in another.... two weeks off for the stars could be a mistake. Looking forward to seeing our midfield with a bit more creativity in & more attack focused Henderson or Allen in with Gerrard & Lucas does not offer enough I think.... so this is very exciting!  :)

I'd expect Coutinho to play from the left, with Suarez behind Sturridge, though with a fair bit of interchange.

Henderson's omission perhaps a reflection that despite his belated RAWK fan club, he's dipped slightly in the last game or two and could probably use a break.

I'd expect Glen Johnson, amongst others, to be fired up by the sheer awfulness of WBA and make amends.

Come on reds!

My guess at the team was correct!

Reina, Johnson, Carra, Agger, Enrique, Lucas, Gerrard, Coutinho, Downing, Sturridge, Suarez

Subs: Gulacsi, Skrtel, Hendo, Shelcey, Borini, Sterling, Allen

good to see Shelvey and Allen make the bench, lets hope that's where they both stay. It looks a decent team but I feel we will still leak further goals,

It might be a case of, if you score 2 we will score 3, a win to keep the boo boys quiet

Did everyone not read the part where it was stated Hendo was having a late fitness test.

We should win this, like the look of our line-up, and theirs!

I wish they weren't, it would have been a good test. We have nothing but Europa to play for in the League so I would have preferred a stronger line to gauge how far we have come. Feel both sides when playing to full strength are quite evenly matched up.

Why is Carragher starting? it's not like our defence has improved with him starting over Skrtel.

Would be just typical if we get beat by a makeshift Swansea side.

Expect Vorm to have a stormer.

Exactly what i was thinking!! Goalkeepers who play for teams we should be beating always seem to play world class on the day and make god knows how many saves!!

Really?  Why do we need a test? What we really need is 3 points regardless of how we get them.

It will still be a test anyway every premiership game is.

So he's to blame for all of Aggers mistakes?!? Carragher has been playing well, that's why he's starting. Agger has shipped goals and its him that's lucky to be playing, not Carra.

Then the question could just as easily have been 'why is Agger starting'? Carragher is the best of a bad bunch on current form. I fancy us to be fine in the absence of Michu though.

If we win this, people will say it was a half strength Swansea side. Would prefer to beat the full side. Three points is not going to get us fourth, the season is over in terms of the League. Would prefer to see us beat some decent opposition from now till the end of the season, so that we have some bounce and confidence going into the next one.
