Glad Downing isn't left back but I'm a little worried about Wisdom up against Johnson/McClean.

He may not look it, but the lad's quite quick.

McClean blows very hot and cold aswell, if Wisdom seemingly gets the better of him then expect him to go into his shell and give us an easier ride.

No idea how this works in the UK, but the game is live on ESPN2 in the US.  Should be plenty of streams.

I know he's quick mate. I'm just getting a few bad flashbacks of him up against Mirallas in the derby. Johnson/McClean of similar style in which they like to take people on.

Horrible little twat of a player at Cough's Forest, who some will remember being our biggest rivals at the time.
I recall him being a narky little twat, constant little fouls and niggles.

Interestingly enough it seems to by listed on my ESPN2 starting at 1:30 my time, which is inline for one to see some pre-match coverage and then kickoff, but, the program is listed to change at 2:00 with "Outside the Lines" taking over the network.... ::)

I suppose I shall have to have a stream standing by should ESPN not realize their mistake.
I watched a YouTube video and decided that Paul Konchesky looked like a player.

I think he'll get a bit more help from Downing though than he did from Suso in that game. I reckon he'll do alright if he plays.

Hopefully it's wrong...on my DirecTV guide in the US the broadcast is set for 2:30 EST.  Good luck.

Mclean vrs Wisdom hmm! why Wisdom? Glen and Downing was forming a brilliant pair on the right side, you ask for consistency and always come out with pointless experimentations you can on kid yourself. Robinson is available, he is more interligen than Wisdom, am wandering? hope we get a better results.

Robinson is available, he is more interligen than Wisdom.

Wisdom has proved himself a steady backup at least. So yes he comes in ahead of Robinson in important premier league games.

James Carroll
Liverpool: Reina, Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Lucas, Henderson, Gerrard, Downing, Sterling, Suarez.

Liverpool subs: Jones, Sahin, Carragher, Shelvey, Allen, Robinson, Suso.

That bench is screaming for some attacking options. Cannot wait to see Sturridge and at least 1 more to add to our front 3.

In terms on the game, I'm fairly confident. Wisdom hasn't played in a while so will need help from Lucas and Henderson at times but other than that I think it's a good team. Great to see Henderson starting, will give some much needed energy and enthusiasm in the cm position.

Good to see Wisdom back, I'd prefer that to Downing going to LB, especially since he is playing a bit better in the last few games. Nothing more we can say except that we just need to down Sunderland and get these 3 points!

Happy with AW coming in and Johno moving to left back. Hope Sterling starts left side and Downing on the right.

Also hoping our midfield 3 and front 3 run their defence ragged. Come on Redmen. 3pts to start the year and set the bar for performances at home in 2013.
Has Steven Gerrard scored a goal even more important than the one he got against Olympiakos - Is this the start of something BIG?

Agree with this. Even if Sturridge and Borini were available tonight we still wouldn't have real threat to come off the bench other than Sterling.

I really wanted Robinson to start tonight. Not only is he a good left back but he gives us balance down the left hand side. Johnson has been a rock at right back and I would've preferred him to have stayed there even though he's put in some good performances at left back. He's not much of a threat in an attacking sense down the left imo
