Unfortunately both don't have a resale value in 5 years time so I think the owners will pass on them. Stupid I know, but unfortunately that's how we'll do our business in the future.
Huntelaar, maybe.
With Llorente I don't think this will have anything to do with it, honestly. Sure, he would cost 15 million and probably want a big wage as he'd be coming at a lower price (surely over 100k), but I think he'd still be worth it, even for our owners. Sign him up for 4 or 5 years, and then FSG would be assured of getting their money back in 18 months or 2 years when he's 29 and has banged in goals here for fun. Chelsea, PSG, Real, who knows? Surely someone would pay 20 million for him at age 29 if he's still playing like he is now, which seems likely.
The problem will be that he'll look at his options and think "Hm, I could go to Juventus and be Italian champion and live in the sun, or I could go to Spurs and let my WAG enjoy London shopping while we push for the Champion's League. Or I could go to Liverpool and enjoy the pleasures of a fight for the Europa League spots. Hmmmm." I'm not saying that it's fair, because it's not and we can all see that Rodgers is on the way to building something real here. But for a player coming to the end of his career in one or two more moves, he's not going to see it that way.
