Proud of our boys and their brave performance tonight. That's right, brave, not throw your child-making equipment in front of a ball brave, but play the ball, receive it, turn, touch it, caress it under pressure brave. About time we played like artists. Beautiful.

The quality of the likely lads aside, Downing has been steady on the left, helped Wisdom defend. Well done to him. He has one workable slot in this team, as the right attacking midfielder.

Robinson has been calm with the ball, supported the attack ok. Pacheco lively with the ball, trying to be aggressive, trying to take his opportunity without it. Good.

Build on this and get the win boys, come on.

The one subtitution I'd make is Suso/Sterling in for Downing.

Good half so far. Refreshing to see a player get a pass in midfield and turn(Sahin) instead of just returning it.

Assaidi looks good, aggressive trying to run at defenders and attracting 2 players at least in doing so.

It was a long range fizzer the keeper should have saved but miss judged and it flew under foster. Well struck, but any keeper worth his salt should have batted it away.

Had a good chance where he flashed his header just past the post
Then towards the end of the half he was through on goal but was kicked, stumbled but decided not to go down, referee should've pulled it back, if he had gone down he was the last man

He looks bright, and confident.

Weirdly reminds me a bit of a young Owen from the first half, but that's probably mostly because of his size, frantic-looking movement, and baggy clothes flapping everywhere.

Very impressed. From the moment we conceded Sahin dictated the tempo of the game in order to get us back into it and in control. The guy glides around the pitch.

Yesil should have scored but he definitely has that air of danger about him. Some strikers have it, some don't, I think this guy does. Takes up some great positions.

Downing has been getting some stick but I think he's been bolder than usual. Maybe taking inspiration from Assaidi whose first thought when he get's the ball is 'right who am I beating now?'. Assaidi is the kind of option we've missed for absolute years and years. He doesn't even have to turn out to be amazing, he's just the type of player we haven't signed in a long time, and it's great to seem him turn that fullback inside out.

Overall if our senior players weren't so committed to royally cocking up, then our youngsters would have looked boss the last 2 games they've played.

If you are do you know who the commentator is? Because this is the first time I've ever heard a commentator being completely honest about what is happening on the pitch, no cover-up, he's actually calling out the Ref for the Red that wasn't given, he mentioned Shelvey got sent off for far less.

Sorry for not discussing the match, but I'm quite stunned by his honesty.

Looking good

Pros so far:

Sahin looks class very much in the same mould as alonso.
Assadi looks tricky as anything ghosting past players.
Good possession play.

Cons:
Poor goalkeeping for goal.
West brom tryed to snap henderson shin never got booked.
Yesil through on goal, tripped up tries to stay on his feet, ref gives nothing, commentator says he should of gone down(dive) to the free-kick.
Ref is shite as per usual.

How wasn't that a red? It was a fucking terrible tackle and if Henderson had his leg planted Mulumbu could've broken it. Not even a fucking yellow given, jesus christ.

Really enjoyed that half. After a slow start and a poor error we went on to dominate that half. Sahin running the show he's looking much nearer his level now which is great to see. Assaidi is a proper winger and very dangerous has to start this weekend for me he looks the part. Yesil has been impressive too, good movement and probably should've scored. The Ref has been appalling again, nothing new there?! Mulumbu should've seen red but he didnt get get a yellow for a nasty tackle. The booking of Wisdom & not giving Yesil anything late on was very poor as well.

Enjoying this. We're completely dominating and our pressing in their half has been excellent. Assaidi and Sahin look our most impressive players. Robinson and Wisdom doing well too after shaky starts.

Dominated for most of the half. WBA are restricted mostly to set pieces. Yesil and Assaidi looking great, and Sahin is just bossing it.
