Might have to rewatch. Remember the first series being really good but can’t remember thinking that much to the 2nd series. Think Letitia Wright from Black Panther was in the first series from memory?

She was yeah. I rewatched the first two series last week to prepare for the new one. Forgot how good it was and it was nice to see her in that role again as she's a big star now.

Looking forward to the new series but with it being Netflix looks like it's been a lot more expensive the production values are higher, I don't think you can beat the gritty feel of especially the first series.

Yep sometimes the big budget can take away some of that gritty realism which is what grabs me with things like this. I remember the first series being fairly grim at times just seem to recall the second series being less realistic/believable but think I’ll have to rewatch. Still looking forward to seeing where they go with it.

Totally agree. Already from this second trailer does look like a bigger budget and set piece event whilst the first trailer was more like the previous series.

It probably needed a couple more episodes from the 4 they had but not 10 episodes.

Enjoyed the first couple episodes. Pacing is a lot slower than normal but with 10 episodes it makes sense. Jamie has a Marlo Stanfield vibe about him  ;D

New season looks overly stylised to me. Watching the first one now and its a struggle. Just finished catching up on first 2 seasons which probabaly didn't help

Netflix and their hard on for 10 episodes.

On episode 4 now and still enjoy it, just as much as the old ones to be honest. There's the odd few comments from some of the actors/actresses that sound a little forced but overall its still great. Kano should act more, he's convincing

Styling is so different from the first two seasons.
They basically copied Gomorra visual beats.
Good to watch still.

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant. I was a bit concerned about the 10 episodes but the introduction of the new characters and their story made it fly by. Touched on so many things like drug use, mental health in the black community, poverty, LGBTQ, PTSD, racism and health conditions such as diabetes, strokes and gentrification.

And yeah Kano definitely needs to act more. He was probably the best character.

I binge watched it the day it came out, nice to see some the characters from the first two series mostly back.

It's okay, about 6 or 7 out of ten. It's not life changing drama, other series do the drugs and organised crime story a lot better but was good to see something UK based. It could, probably should go a lot deeper than the whole turf war story. You got a touch of everything but I would have liked more meat and better dialogue.

Just binge watched all of them end to end. I thought Top Boy was brilliant.

Just switched to Cuffs, episode 1 series 1, first scene, seeing Deshane dressed as a copper was a bit weird.

Just finished it. Thought it was a bit slow to begin but built into a really good series. Really starts to heat up from episode 3/4 and pulls you in. Watched the last 8 episodes across 2 days as just had to keep watching.
Liked the ending, sets it up nicely for another series.
Anyone else guess who the two crackheads really were? Took me until episode 8 or 9 but got there in the end!

Had to rewatch the first 2 series first to remember what happened, but actually came out liking the 2nd series more than when I watched it originally.

The original series will give you a bit of back story to the characters and see what’s gone before and are good stories in their own right.

Very late bump. Just watched the Netflix series having only seen the two C4 ones when they first broadcast. Really enjoyed the longer episodes and the chance to flesh out some of the characters. Good little twist at the very end.

It says on Netflix that a new series is coming too which I think is a recent development.

I did the same  ;D  I've watched series one since and a bit of series two but have to say they're light years behind series three in terms of production quality.

They are much more raw than series 3. You could see that series 3 had a fair bit of money thrown around it.
