Smashing up buses isn’t showing passion though is it? It’s behaving like an arse. If anyone does what City want them to do they are the biggest fools going. Get in the ground early and get in their players heads is the thing to be doing.

Only a complete and utter moron would throw anything at their bus.

Abu Dhabi have carefully placed the ball in front of our gaping own goal, and they are desperate for one of our idiots to rise to the challenge and score the own goal.

Anyone falling for this clear and obvious trap is a complete and utter moron.

Fuck Abu Dhabi. This is ALL about Liverpool and three points. Let's not let a single moron gift them the own goal, thus making it all about Abu Dhabi and a stupid bus.

Abu Dhabi FC are not important, so ignore the sham of a club when they drive past.

They never caused this much of a stink about the coach greeting last time we played them in the league. I wonder what's changed? Wouldn't be that 6 point lead we have over them this time would it?

I wonder, do Man United go on like this every time they go to West Ham?

WHU 'fans' absolutely wrecked their team bus not too long ago in an incident far more serious and sinister than anything that happened at Anfield, yet you never seem to hear this ridiculous hysteria from them.

You are right, of course. They are six points behind and rattled. They need to shift the narrative and focus around LFC towards the negative. It's a carefully crafted ploy on their part. They actually want something to happen, and are setting the scene to promote it happening. One tit throws a bottle and the media make out it was the apocolypse all over again. Public opinion and sympathy gets behind Abu Dhabi in their push for the title over those 'nasty scousers'.

To any potential trouble makers out there; you are being set up as useful idiots for the Abu Dhabi cause. DON'T FALL FOR IT!!

Their paranoia about the coach thing makes perfect sense. Their players were awful that day. They are more used to playing in front of half empty stadiums with plastic flags most weeks. Any deviation from that is surely to throw them off. In 17/18 for both games against them Anfield was bouncing and their team crumbled. In 13/14 it was the same. That is what the fear for the most and not the safety of anyone involved.

This is just a ploy to help shield their players from hostile atmosphere or to pacify the atmosphere at Anfield a bit.

Spot on mate. Its a wee bit odd. Pelting buses happens all the time, it's not right but it happens. And lets look at it for what it was, a few bottles. The only explanation as to why its still a thing for them is that they want it to be, which is quite pathetic and stinks of being bad losers. Why else would it still be a story ?  Just hope it doesn't happen, not because it was particularly bad, but because they would be delighted if it happened I think you're right.  Lose and it was because of the of the terrible scousers. Get a result and they are a big brave team over coming the nasty scousers.
Throw your bottles in the bin and smash the f**k out of City on the pitch

I was in the ground on the night of Busgate and i doubt if more than 1% new about it. Didn't detract or contribute to the atmosphere.

I am in no way condoning hitting the bus nor do I think that itself played any role. Its more the welcome they got, the pyro, the crowds outside the stadium etc. They want all that to go away, that is why they keep whining.

Regardless of what happens outside. As long as they can hear the ground bouncing when they're warming up and when Pep gives his team talk, and our boys likewise, and they are greeted with a wall of noise when they enter the pitch, then that's all we need. Don't need the pyros to get them to feel like they'd rather be playing anywhere else.

But very few Clubs have players and staff that would sing a song about a fan getting attacked after wining the league.

And with Alisson at £67m and Virgil at £75m, £142m of our expenditure is only on two players - the very two who have arguably won us the CL and made us title contenders.  That's spending the money where it counts and not hosing it around.  There's five players in that list of theirs over £50m.

That is true from a net spend perspective. :)

Tweets like that just go to show though - they don't just want to be supported, they want to be worshipped.  I mean, greatest team in PL history?  Really?  Think Alex Ferguson might have something to say about that.

Ferguson won the title in some cases with a shit team and sheer force of will - that's what makes their achievements so remarkable.  Is this guy honestly trying to suggest the team City might field is shit?

That is true from a net spend perspective. :)

Tweets like that just go to show though - they don't just want to be supported, they want to be worshipped.  I mean, greatest team in PL history?  Really?  Think Alex Ferguson might have something to say about that.

Ferguson won the title in some cases with a shit team and sheer force of will - that's what makes their achievements so remarkable.  Is this guy honestly trying to suggest the team City might field is shit?

The Arsenal sides with the likes of Pires, Henry, Viera,Petit, Bergkamp, Overmars, Ljundberg etc would have a lot to say about it too.
