I have no interest in checking this out for myself- but is it possible that a lot of Blue moon posters are actually from a foreign fake social media farm, a propaganda machine funded by Abu Dhabi?

A lot of other fans forums can have their idiots and be run by idiots, even LFC has them, but some of the stuff I'm seeing quoted here just seems that good bit more insane.

The reason they don't sell their games out is because they have fuck all fans. The slave owners bought man city 11 years ago, over a decade ago, where are your fans man city?

Every home game is a sell out, the reason they can call it a sell out is because those empty seats are season tickets bought by who-the-fuck-knows, paid for in advance. Every home game has 10,000 empty seats, the slave owners solution to this is to expand the stadium by yet another 10,000 seats.

Can't afford to go to the games? Get fucked you season ticket frauds.

My missus says City fans have always been scum, she's had years of putting up with them

Actually they are, technically they are the only club in Manchester - Utd are actually in Trafford, the boundary for the City of Manchester is about a mile away from OT, which is like when the bitters were supposed to move to Kirkby.

One thing about the Arabs, they must have always known they would need to fiddle the attendances and income, as they have priced a lot of fans out of the game by whacking the seat prices up. My neighbour is mid 80's and until they put the prices up, he was a season ticket holder, he went to every home game, reduced to watching on telly now.

I'll have to listen to local radio next few days, they'll be offering tickets this week.
Think therein lies the problem of these unbearable "new" bunch of City fans (fanatics yes- not "supporters").
They've "upgraded" to a new class of fan. You just have to look at the bus incident. Come on, those are just not real people? They've never experienced a bit of fun at their expense?

The existing, ie pre Abu Dhabi, City fans are so much like the bitter lunatics. You have the older ones who are sensible, those of my age who are a mixed bag of decent and wankers and then the younger you get the worse they get. My neighbour is ace, I've mates in their 50's who you can chat footy with, then a Dad of my youngest sons mate is a proper bitter blue Manc, can't accept anyone can be better than them, cheated, the bottling of the bus was the worst thing ever and all that shite - his missus is a Red manc and she says he can be unbearable.

My neighbour is proper old school football fan, we can have banter, he will compliment us when we are playing well, he enjoys watching us. He also tells me stories of the 1950's where, when City were away, he would get the train to Liverpool and watch us or Everton - tells me stories of Billy Liddell.

Listened to Georgie Bingham and Tony Cascarino trying to defend City not taking up its full allocation at Wembley, what with the Champions League, League Cup, FA Cup and Premier League matches to attend being too many matches to attend. Funny, it hardly ever has a full house anyway at any of the matches. All which confirms it’s a small time outfit bankrolled by a sovereign wealth fund.

The one thing not mentioned by anyone defending them is that yeah while it's fucking expensive making 4 trips to London in 2 weeks or so it's only the regulars affected by it, I've no idea what the allocations are like at Fulham, Spurs and Palace but you're probably talking 2.5k-3k max who do all 4, the cup semi doesn't even come in to it cos of the allocation size but they try to make out the lot of them are skint cos they've all been London 4 times in a fortnight

Hang on.  We were told that the reason the reason for the empty seats against Cardiff was because there was a Wembley semi-final on the Saturday and people couldn’t afford/be expected to go to both.  Then there empty seats and Wembley anyway.  So now it’s “too many games to go to”. But there’s always empty seats.

Did they know months ago that there were going to be loads of games?  Do different people sit the game out each week and, in effect, everyone goes to 40 odd games each?

So many questions.

The woman who called in to 5 live makes a really good point about semi-finals being played at Wembley and the overall price of tickets for games, I'm with her on both of those things. However, if the argument for not selling out is because they've had a few games in London in quick succession, then it doesn't hold weight. Their allocation for games like Fulham away, Spurs away and Palace away will be about 2000, so the prices/travelling would only affect a small amount of supporters. The 35,000 tickets available for the semi-final shouldn't really be impacted by those away games. It also doesn't explain why they can't seem to sell-out most of their home games. I also don't see this issue with other clubs who come from poor areas. Do you think if Newcastle got to an FA Cup semi-final they wouldn't be able to sell all their tickets? They could probably sell them twice over.

The fact is, City are just a smaller club. They have fewer fans, people are less interested in them, they don't even really attract neutrals. That's fine, football shouldn't be reserved for the big clubs only but I guess the reason City fans will be feeling defensive is because they know that despite all of their success over the past few years - the 100 point season, the best manager in the world, a billion pound squad - people just don't really care. Their own fans don't even really care. After years of proclaiming themselves Manchester's 'proper' supporters and taking the piss out of United's glory hunters they've found that they can't even sell out their home games whilst embroiled in one of the most exciting title races in PL history. If City win the title (or the quadruple for that matter) there will be a small amount of celebration in Manchester, whilst the rest of the footballing world shrugs its shoulders. If Liverpool win the league, it will be the biggest party English football has ever seen. But beyond our own interests, I think there are lots of 'smaller' teams in England that would show City up if they were in the same situation. I think for the rest of football, it just feels like all of this success is a little undeserved and it could be going to a set of supporters who would really appreciate it.

Bless the little pale blue Bitters.  In so many competitions that their poor widdle fans can't afford to go to all the games.  ::)

Oh how they must long for the days when they were just in three domestic competitions and went out of both cups early on.

If only they attracted some measure of support from outside their own city, then maybe fans could get tickets for the Emptihad and Wembley who aren't actually from Manchester.  Ah, well, hey-ho...

I was working in Manchester last summer when they had their event for winning the league and you hardly noticed much of an increase in traffic on the trams over a normal evening, at least on the ones I used.

I've no idea what the something else is but I'm sure their parents would be ashamed of them if they ever read the stuff that's posted on there.

Jesus, as a human being, I'm ashamed for them.  How do people actually get through an average day carrying that amount of vitriol?

That isn't rivalry or banter, that's shocking microaggression.

The 'can't afford tickets' argument is bollox. Every club has people who can't afford to go to most games. Most fans couldn't afford to go to that number of games.

They just don't have the numbers. City fans get defensive about this because it exposes the lie of their commercial income. All those phony sponsorship deals with companies who apparently want to spend hundreds of millions advertising to a small, provincial fanbase who struggle to fill Wembley on a Cup semi-final day.
Yes! Saw a City fan on twitter this morning saying it’s unprecedented what they are doing this season, fighting on 4 fronts and that is the reason fans are having to pick their games. A United fan argued back with ‘United 99’. He replied by saying they went out the League Cup early on that season. So I hit with Liverpool 2001, treble winners and fighting in the League for a Champs League spot. Sold out every week! He never replied 🤔🤔🤔

I don’t disagree. As Rob and others have said, smaller team in their city (and Trafford!), happy to laugh at other teams and their big overseas fan bases and out of town support but can’t really be a big club without that.

Yes our fanbase is much bigger than theirs.
Yes many of the idiots on platforms like Blue Moon are vile dickheads who deserve the piss taken out of them.

But there's some justification in their comments about affordability. League matches at Anfield were about £25 back in 2000/01 so it was a lot more affordable to go to more matches. Plus the cost of living has increased at a faster rate than wages over the last 10+ years which are putting a further strain on people's disposable income. Match going fans are being shafted significantly more than they were in 2000/01 so you're not really comparing like for like.

The prices for tickets are a joke I agree. But the way they are trying to justify it is also a joke! Making up figures on attendance like 52,000 in a 55,000 seater stadium.  When you can clearly see about 8,00 empty seats. Theyre a big club on the pitch nowadays but still not off it. If this was us now chasing 4 trophies, every game would be sold out. Fact! No matter how much things cost, we sell out because of the fans base we have. If they had gotten to the Final in Kiev, they would have sold out but it probably would have went down to a Final sale of attending 1 Champs League game because of how hard it was to get to Kiev. We as we had thousands without tickets watching in the bars of Kiev

Thye argue that the seats are sold but simply not filled.  Not sure I believe that though.
Yes so one  argument contradicts the other! 1. We sold the seats but didn’t bother going and 2. It’s too expensive to buy a ticket for every game

Yeah if people can' afford to buy tickets but they're being bought anyway that doesn't stack up. If there's thousands of struggling people spending money on tickets they don't use every week then they need an intervention on budgeting.
So bloody what? If you watch football to be absolutely miserable then go watch cricket.

If the owners buy the seats does it still count.........

Didn't he give away way more than four tickets, while the rest of them would have probably produced similar results, these may well have been cherrypicked by the tv.
