Hopefully this nonsense will be thrown out of court.

So they're prolonging our misery. Bastards.

It's quite incredible that it's £1 billion of the British taxpayer's money on the line, though. I wonder if there's any chance of the government getting involved.

If all this stuff in the restraining order is so damming against the board why didn't they mention it in court yesterday? This will surely be thrown out as soon as it begins?

The premier league could sort this. One of their clubs is subject to a hostile and unreasonable action. If they agreed to suspend the risk of a 9 nine point penalty for 24 hours, RBS could call in the loan, sell straight to NESV and then Hicks could fuck right off.

You can bet your bottom dollar that RBS lawyers are at either a Federal or Supreme Court Judge's house right now to get this over-ruled.   The DJ was conned and if Hick's lawyer has been spouting off to Bloomberg about the actions of the Board, well I would say that was actionable....

Guardian reporting hearing in Texas is scheduled for October 25th. Hopefully this can get cancelled? Broughton seems to be pretty clued up over here, I wonder how well he knows the US scene. Hopefully NESV and RBS will help out too since they're involved in the injunction.

Just when you think it's over... I hate Hicks with a passion!

I can only imagine what they are thinking in the board room...

They are probably as stunned as we are.

I hope John Henry doesn't have a case of buyers remorse right now... I mean he just wanted to buy our great club, make some money, bring us back to the top of the Premier League and have a good excuse to visit Ol' England to watch a footy game.

Instead he's got court cases being shoved up his ass, words like "fraud" and "conspiracy" being tossed around.

The poor guy makes a simple and honest attempt to buy a business and instead finds himself accused of being a criminal...

What a disaster this day has turned into for Liverpool fans around the world...

Because part of the club's companies, Kop Holdings or whoever, are registered in Texas. The judge is basically "protecting" an American company.

Or at least that's my take on it.

The RBS case that their interests will be prejudiced by the RTO will be explained to the good judge or to a higher one and the RTO will be lifted.  RBS will say they are entitled to their money by Friday, there were no other real offers that met the sales agreement with Hicks signed up to, that failure to pay by Friday means that Kop Football is insolvent and therefore will be put into administration and that this will further reduce the value of the asset, that if Hicks is agreeved he can still sue for damages and that Hicks is a lying Fat c*nt.

Im beyond confused.

I dont understand anything any more.

Hicks clearly doesnt want administration as this blocks it.

but then what is he trying to achieve?

my hope is that this only ends up buying him a day but i guess we should now only expect the worst.
