The Asian lad really contributes nothing to this does he?

But enough about Amir and this thread, what's people's views on One Direction?

I thought it was blatantly obvious that Simon has pinpointed Matt as the main competitor for his beloved band, that is why he gave him hell.

A lot of female teenagers who usually are in the audience screaming the fucking lungs out at the sight of c*nts are torn between One direction and Matt.

"Voila, I, Simon Cowell has a plan: I'll make Matt look plain by my senile comments, those who vote are daft enough to believe me." He says one fine morning and then hopes it works.

I caught you Simon  :wanker

This.

Leona Lewis didn't really dance about did she and look at her now, a proper music star.

HATE the Irish one out of One Direction! Whenever Dermot O'Leary is giving the details on what number to call after their performance he always seems to be pointing and laughing at something/someone to the left of the front of the stage. Then he turns around to see the other lads' reactions and they're just standing there stoney faced. Has he got an imaginary friend?

I'm not actually quite sure how folks can get so impassioned by this show, although I personally and genuinely enjoy it. If you actually HATE an act, I just think y'all need to get out a bit more.

Me, I wish their could be a four way in the final to be honest, the competition is very stiff this year. Mary, bless her, is a good lass, but she's waaaaay out of her depth in the natural talent stakes.

Who would I like to win? Cher actually...although there's not a cat in hell's chance she will.

Matt, great voice, musically talented, but there's plenty of him about. A younger David Gray if you like.

One Direction...quite the snore fest really. Typical manufactured boy band, bit of talent, contemporary image, will churn out music that they've not written for years to come.

Rebecca, actually, really, she's my favourite. I could listen to her voice pretty much all day every day. I wouldn't want her to win, because she'll be contractually obliged to churn out shite, rather than someone realising the incredible asset, class and style she has and really take it on.

Cher, fresh, mostly original, and so young, talented and incredibly confident. Providing she stays true to what she likes and her influences, regardless of winning the x-factor or not, she's gonna be just fine.

Two things annoy me about this show:

1) The word 'versatile'. A music artist is not meant to be versatile - you're good at one genre and you stick to it. 'Rebecca never moves around or does an upbeat number, all she does is stand there and sing'. That's because she's good at it. It's like telling Jay Z you're a good rapper but if you screw up in rock week you're out.

2) 'Simon is only pushing the acts that will make him the most money'. Well no shit, of course he's going to do that. That is precisely what his job is. If someone offers you a tenner or £10mill what do you take?

Anyway, thought OD were alright tonight, Matt not as good although that could be down to his sore throat/cold/whatever. Between those 2 for me, although Rebecca is the most talented I can't see her winning.

I'm assuming there was an inevitable lull with Wagner's absence (rip)...

It absolutely boggles my mind how bad the majority of the acts sound.

Wand Erection actually make me want to put pencils in my ears so I don't have to listen to them.
Now Wagner has gone its apparent to me the Irish lady should go back to Tesco's. As she can't sing its all very shouty with her.

Don't even get me started on that pikey

On the whole, music was the biggest loser.

Cher was unimpressive last night, her actual singing wasn't that bad but then she "raps" and with Cheryl on sidelines dancing like she's in a drum n bass club falsely encouraging her, is building her up for a fall and from her "interviews" with Dermot after the judges comments she will have a huge breakdown.

Leak:

Rebecca 29%, Matt 25%, One Direction 19%, Cher 14%, Mary 13%.

I want Cher gone so badly but with Mary as her competition, she'll survive for the final.

Seems quite possible that leak after last night: Rebecca was class I thought, Matt not at his best in the slightest ( to be fair he did look like he was about to kick the bucket on stage ), and Cher divides opinion way too much to win I think.

Cher is coming last!

Whats the story with tonight? Is it the same as usual in that the two with the least votes from the public sing again and the judges decided who to send home?

Have any of those rumoured leaks of % of votes been accurate over the last few weeks?

If it's between Cher and Mary it will go to deadlock.

Cheryl will vote for Cher obviously and Simon will to, because he fancies Cheryl and he also likes Cher.

Danni is jealous of Cheryl so will vote for Mary along with Louise.
