Darren Potter..... who can't get a game at Wolves
He's a manipulative bastard. Another deliberate attempt to put pressure on people in the game, which he thinks he'll get away with because of his "standing" in the game and his fucking knighthood.

Thanks. I think everyone was poor in the 1st leg anyway.

Giles has said similar on a few occasions to be fair to him. You can tell he likes Alonso and what he can do but is almost disappointed he doesn't influence games more often.

I cant remember one single occasion where Whelan has said a good word about Rafa. Its as plain as day he doesnt like him and would rather see him gone. Whelan is one of the biggest culprits when it comes to ex-players sticking the boot in Rafa.

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of the storm there's a golden sky
And the sweet, silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone.
You'll never walk alone.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone.
You'll ne-ever walk alone.

Not the first time really. Shame.

But i never get the same vibe from Lawrenson for example, you can see the venom etched on Whelan's face. I'm certain he'd be delighted to see us lose tonight.

Le Tallec or Keane?

The team was btw

Dudek

Finnan     Carra      Hyypia     Warnock

Potter      Gerrard     Alonso   Risse?

Le Tallec     Morientes

Goodness me.

That's supposed to be a match for tonight's side? Dear oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Whatever people say about Lawro, I genuinely feel he does want us to win.

Yeah, I disagree a LOT with Lawro, Hansen and Souness but I never get the impression that they actively dislike Rafa. Disagree with his methods yes, but I never got the impression that any of them actually want to see him fail.

hes only stating the obvious

He is fucking drivelling on if he thinks Riise is better than Dossena and that our team is not muich better than 2004. Fucking BOLLOCKS! We now have 3 genuine world class players, Torres, Gerrard and Masch, and a host of competent supporting players-Keane, Alonso, Agger, Carragher, Skrtel. It is only our wide positions tha are no better than 04, Babel aside.

A football club isn't just made up of players, coaches and directors. More than anything else it's the supporters who make a club, and that perhaps is the ingredient which best distinguishes Liverpool Football Club from every other team. The supporters.

Correct, and fourth will have to qualify against a similar team (ie. fourth from Spain, Italy, etc), not the lesser teams we've faced over the past few seasons.

Sad to see really as I loved him as a player.  I'd love to know exactly WHAT he has against him.

I think it begins with R and ends with N.

hes only stating the obvious

huh?

The '04 team being as good as today's side is obvious? To who exactly? I think you could ask 1000 pundits their view on that, and 999 (Merson and Le Tissier included) would agree that we have a better team now. Whelan's stating the obnoxiously stupid, and presumably just to stick the boot in...it certainly isn't obvious, let alone true.
