There’s something about Jak Jones … really feels like an exhibition where I’m watching the top guy at my local club playing a seasoned pro …

The way he scowls, his inability to make a century, the way he wins his frames with 2-3 visits 😂

These edgy, tense finals with lots of misses are way more entertaining than watching the seasoned winners bang in centuries or play consistently top class safety. These two don’t give you proper world champion vibes like Hendry and Higgins

This is up there with that Dott v Ebdon final in terms of quality.

Kyren is lucky to get this final rather than having to play a top player like Ronnie, Trump or Selby. He’s trying hard to bottle it but Jones has suddenly reverted to the mean (a top 32 player).

Yep, he seems incapable of getting in first and making a frame winning break. 2 chances already this frame and he's scored 26 points. Make that 3 good chances to score 35

2006 Ebdon vs Dott was the worst final this century, they were taking that long to finish frames one of the afternoon sessions finished a frame short of the allocated 8 frames, the final frame finished not far off 1am, & Dott won 18-14 but imagine had it gone to 17 all, as they were taking that long to complete a frame, they'd have played the last frame as the sun was rising.

 I'm sure he's fine as a person but as a snooker player I always enjoyed seeing him lose.

I think that was qualifying too though. Jones looks done here. I think its just one of them tournaments where it all nearly went right for him. Just never really confident watching him play. Shame, I wanted to see him win he seems likeable enough, but he's not a heavy enough scorer to rattle out frame after frame I don't think

Don’t understand the hate, fair play to the lad for getting here. He’s done something right to be in the final. And I think he got screwed with the schedule, it could have been much closer if he didn’t have to play the next morning after that semi (oo’er). I’m happier watching him than I ever was watching Selby.
