Anyone a fan of Eric Prydz/Axwell? I have three tickets to see them on Friday the 6th April in Manchester. Its at the Warehouse Project which if you haven't been before is a fucking brilliant venue.

As stupid as it sounds, I bought them by accident and could really do with shifting them on. So if anyone is interested could you please let me know. Face value of course.

Are above and beyond still going? Mate hired them for a night here and they fucking destroyed the place. That was about 8 years ago i think though. I think Trance started to decline around that time or i started listening more to techno. It seemed a natural progression. I love Trance but the classics seemed fewer and fewer as the years went on.

Yeah they are, felt 05-09 was fantastic for Trance... dwindled a bit now as it's trying to become more commercial but still plenty of great tunes about.

I loved my trance and hung out've the back of it for years. Still make every attempt to get to any classics night that i can but it's hard going.

The lights coming down in The Arena was immense. You would always get ones that were wiped out lying down on the ground while the lights unfolded just above them. Good times.

That was the pinnicle of every week, hearing that song and seeing those lioghts come down before a thumping bassline would kick in.

Fantastic video that mate! Great when so many people are on the same level and there's no bullshit. Very hard/impossible to find decent enough clubs like that nowadays, I just don't bother looking any more and get a bunch of mates round every month for a mad/enlightening one. Feel I'm missing out as I'm 25 and have only really seen videos of back then. Usually there's a nice vibe out in Europe but it's at big events and you need to spend money.

Don't get me wrong there's still wonderful nights to be had if you hunt them down, but from what I understand it's nothing like it used to be.

I just really caught the tail end of it all. I'm sure there are a few on here from N.Ire that went to the Arena aswell. I went clubbing every week untill about 2/3 years ago. Everyone just started settling down around then. Can't wait to get to Ibiza this summer for the first time in about 5 years on a lads holiday. I followed it religiously back then and would instantly recognise most of the tracks being mixed it. I wouldn't have a clue now but it'll be good to get back and experience it again.

The vidoe is true. It's a cliche but just as i had just started going to certain clubs they were nearing their death and the younger generation that had been doing it from the late 80s/early 90s were starting to fade. The last big change from the late 90's i would say was about 4/5 years ago.

Yeah I say about 5 years ago is right, but that's starting to fade already as places are trying to cash in on the fact pop-house is big now. Like Trance Energy, massive annual event with 30,000 partygoers every year. They renamed it to just 'Energy', brought in a bunch of House DJ's and barely sold 60% of the tickets, it's not the same group of people either. All seems a bit directionless at the moment but I'm probably being overly-cynical.

Thing with Ibiza is you're nailed on to have a fantastic time, been wanting to go since I was fucking 12 and I'm finally off next summer after graduation... can't wait, hope you have a good'n too bud.

So "YouTube" acts like David Guetta, Avicii, Skrillex is gonna end up in the top 3. The US and Facebook ruined the DJMag top 100.
