I find it fascinating that people get wound up by a collar but they'll walk around with a fuck-off multinational bank logo (a bank fined $1.1bn for money-laundering and sanctions breaches in 2019) plastered on the front of the top.
Football shirts itself are just weird, you're just going round advertising some company no-one cares about, with the team logo and kit manufacturer coming in a clear second in terms of priority.

Grown up people losing their shit over the collar of a football kit. Than again, I do remember the outrage when this was unveiled ...

How we end up playing it in goes a long way ;D

If there's a problem with the kit, it's the collar. It's too big. It slightly reminds me of the last Adidas kit we had before going with Reebok - the 1995-1996 shirt. That had a huge collar that looked almost like the collar of a cricket jumper.

If this shirt had a trim V-neck (similar to the one we had in the 125th anniversary kit in 2017) it would be quite smart. The wideness of the collar is problematic.

The collar is a bit off but I like the 1984 vibes. Always prefer the yellow liverbird.

The 2014 one was nicer though.

Looks like one of those bootleg kits for ‘Merseyside Reds’ in old PES games. Not a single redeeming quality. Awful shade od red, design, those yelow-white triangle inserts are beyond comprehension.

And the liitle white/yellow segments on the sides, don't mind the main body of it though with the lines, collars are something else though 🤮

They're not as bad on the team as they look hanging on a rack.  But would be 100% better if they had a white rolled traditional collar instead of whatever this is.

Usually fairly happy with most kits but that collar is a fucking abomination.

Looks like a manc designed that on purpose.

It’s not subjective, it’s absolute visual garbage.

I like it … feels like a proper football shirt, and not some attempt to integrate with everyday fashion.

And I love a good, ugly shirt. They’re the one that always become iconic. Think Candy with grey flecks 😂 that was a proper abomination and now a classic

I was trying to think why I didn't like it (beyond the appalling collar) but after watching the game I realised it's because it's poorly constructed, particularly around where the chest meets the collar. Look how it hangs off the players, it rides up at the join making it look weird and you'd have to keep pulling it down for it to sit properly. I can't wait for us to bin Nike off, they don't give a f*** about making a decent kit for the fans.

It is a decent retro vibes kit. Whoever is bothered about it really needs to get a life. Anyway, I won't be buying it, just the polo shirts like every year. I've already ordered this one ...

I will also say that I liked the little yellow accents down the side and on the shorts and socks.  I thought those were nice little flourishes.

The shirt/shorts with just those would have been lovely, far too busy in my opinion.
