Apparently, the possible foul on the keeper for the first goal couldn't be checked by VAR because the quick throw that led to the goal restarted play, so VAR couldn't go back to before that point...

Egypt will still likely go through even if they were to finish 3rd. It's harder to get knocked out than go through looking at the format
