Re-installed Oblivion today (without mods, but with patches). Got the GotY edition for PC today for ~8quid. Did not play Knights of the Nine or Shivering Isles before so it was a good deal imo. Only way I can think of to kill off some time other than playing PES 2012 the whole time (and working for uni ofc).

Gonna do DB, SI and KotN in Oblivion now.

I watched the first 20mins yesterday, as it'll be pretty much the same for every player and I don't really care much about spoilers there. Looked awesome, hope it'll run smoothly on my PC. Also read about the DB quest with the orphanage, which seems like a rndm side quest at first.

What races are people going to play as? I've been a Nord since Morrowind as I don't like managing my Mana etc. that much. But I might be tempted to try a Dark Elf Battlemage, as there'll already be many Nords around...
you wouldn't be saying that if it was posted by Sangrinho Putrinada of Argentina.

Same setup i've used since Morrowind. A Nord barbarian named Conan. Not exactly original I know but it's a tradition I must keep to.

I'll be a two sword vielding human with a tendency to backstab, loot and steal.

Edit: Screw that, Dunmers are immune to fire and that could come very handy in the land of dragons.

I've always played as a Dark Elf trying to be as close to a battle mage as possible so I will keep that going for at least the 1st playthrough. Hopefully Skyrim will be easier to do so than Oblivion.

Nice. Looks like it will be a bit more of a challenge to find them in this.

Anybody going for that version? Only game I bought this year was PES 2012 so far, so I might be tempted...

Resounding yes.
Lore is recycled throughout the series but you'll pick it all up soon enough.
Roaming and making your own story is the main thing here.

Any idea if quest items will be levelled? Really grated me in Oblivion that hard earned quest rewards became junk after some time; so much so that I put off doing some of the Daedric quests to get items at higher level.
Would love the 19th more and more trophies; but would love even more to see a fan owned LFC.

Can't really imagine that.

Also, there will be no werewolfs in the game. Disappointment. Hope there'll be some DLC soon, as I just loved Bloodmoon.

Caves are levelled, regarding the loot that's found in them and the strength of enemies inside - so you can find some good stuff at low levels, if you're lucky/brave/stupid enough to try and take on way tougher enemies and survive.

Hopefully quest items are handled the same way, but who knows.

So basically everyone just has 9 days to do what they wanted to do with their lives for the rest of the year.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

I didn't watch all of that video. I skipped through a lot of it. But I did see that the idiot spent the last fifteen minutes of it failing to open a lock for which he was grossly unskilled to unlock. Why would he not cut that bit off?

That guy did a lot of things wrong... firstly having the destruction spell in the other hand throughout the fights, instead of another sword or shield, as his destruction spells didn't do that much damage compared to the swords/blunts... Annoyed me really that someone like that gets the game before all of us an probably won't even finish it. But having werewolves confirmed was worth watching through all of that ;)
