As I said, the way he sticks for Balotelli has to piss off some of ManCity players. He is not as good as any other striker they have: Aguero, Tevez and Dzeko all are better players. Yet, he has started ahead of them, he has started ahead of them after repeated bad behavior, red cards, clubbing.

I don't understand, what is so notable about a selfish player who may score a goal here and there. He never combines well with other players, is anonymous most of the time. And he got another red. And deservedly so :D

Mancini is not doing wrong by having faith in a young player, but this has been over the top a year now. He doesn't give nearly as many chances to Johnson and other youngsters.

Yeh.... riiiiight.

I'm guessing you haven't seen Dzeko play since ermm fuck knows when the last time Dzeko put in a proper quality performance. Bar a small purple patch he has been dreadful. He looks like an amateur footballer most of the time. Balotelli is miles better than Dzeko. He isn't better than Aguero or Tevez but has got the potential and qualities to be as effective. Aguero hasn't done much recently, you'd be expecting him to stand up while City are going through their crap patch. At least balotelli tries to win and shows some quality.

Mancini should be sacked anyway. I don't rate him at all. I don't enjoy City's football one bit. Boring. Only at the start of the season when teams were afraid of them could they express themselves and with the players they had that would be entertaining to watch. Other than that awful by Mancini.

I know they've had money but I'd still think it would be crazy to sack him. Its not like he's been incredibly poor.

City are just second place to a United team on course for 97pts. I still think they've done well this season bar Europe.
£15m? It seems low, but what people have to remember is that the fee is irrelevant.

This is what gets on my nerves. When and where did Balotelli ever consistently match his performances with the praise/hype he gets?

We talk about Aguero, Dzeko and Tevez, who have done brilliantly before coming to ManCity. Balotelli has talent to be as effective as Aguero or Tevez? :lmao Does he fuck, he will never be nearly as good as them.

Now, as for Dzeko, his form and performances became very shit, and I am not going to argue about that. But let's remember how did this happen? Dzeko and Aguero had a brilliant partnership, and both were scoring for fun at the start of the season. Then what did happen? Yes, the famous away game vs Bayern Munich happened, where Dzeko made his frustration felt that he is replaced in every game. After that game, not only Tevez, but Dzeko too, got punished. Mancini is a poor man manager, he shot confidence of his second best striker at the time to pieces. He started benching him or substituting him. Most players won't cope with that, and he didn't.

Now, a counter question. Did Balotelli perform as well as Dzeko did since then? No, he didn't.

PS Let's also remember that Balotelli cannot get a call from Italy NT even if they have one of the worst forward lines in their recent history. Iaquinta? Amauri? Changing citizenship of Osvaldo? :lmao

I never said Balotelli is as good as some say. I even said in the Balotelli thread i don't even think he is that good and i also said in todays premier league fixtures thread that Mancini is a shit man manager and for me crap manager on the whole.

What i am saying is Dzeko has been shit. Oh that little thing happened in fucking November or whatever has caused him to be shit since January then again from Oct/Nov. I liked Dzeko before he came to City. He was class even class in a friendly vs SPAIN. But i've seen this guy play fucking AWFUL. Against us he was hillariously shit. Everytime he's played for City this season especially recently i just knew they were fucked cos he'll fuck up everything. Balotelli clearly has more ability than Dzeko. Pace, power, skill, great shot and at Inter his delivery was so good i remember a couple of matches where he took every single FK from wherever on the pitch. If you can't see his talent, you're blind.

And why the fuck hasn't he got the talent to be as effective as Tevez and Aguero? He hasn't got the mentality but he's certainly got the ability. He will most likely never have the mentality. 17 goals in 20 starts after all the stuff that goes on in the background... Imagine if he was a normal person...

And why don't Italy call him up? Maybe Cos Balotelli is Balotelli. No one is arguing that. I'm just telling you Balotelli is a better footballer than Dzeko. And can potentially be as effective as Aguero and Tevez. Bit like Cassano.

Looks that way, esp if maureen is up for a move, I'm sure they'd go for him and let him have the money instead.

Mancini is ridiculous with his interviews. His constant hype of Balotelli and defending him is another thing that must be annoying ManCity players. When you have Nasri, Aguero and Silva in your squad, how can he go on with that "Balotelli is potentially world's top 3 player" BS :D

My comment before the game turned out to be prophetic :D It's not a rocket science really:

Spent a fortune - an absolute frigging fortune - and what has he got to show for it?

I know the PL is littered with cronies who like nothing more than to get their belly tickled by ORN - be it managers, refs or pundits happy to build up the media myth of Utd's invincibility.  But when half a billion quid bags you nothing but an FA Cup there has to be a problem someplace.

I don't know enough about City's squad to know if they've paid over the odds for deeply average players but it's obvious they have some serious talent and their flakiness is doing my nut in.  A part of me actually DOES want Rafa to go there, just to see if he can whip that bunch of bottlers into shape and watch ORN and his flunkies go into meltdown when he starts calling it like it is.

It amazes me that they all think throwing millions will solve all problems.  Their problem right now is probably that they have too much money.

Some money will help but there has to be a balance.  No amount of money can make up for bad man management etc.

Seems like the press/media still haven't turned on him yet, amazing considering the way they treated Rafa, who spent something like £13million net each summer, won the European Cup and got us closer to a league title than City will be this year. Imagine if he'd kept hold of Adebayor and not bothered with Balotelli, they'd probably be champions already.

They won't win the league until they get a decent manager.
They've got one.

Ahem.

Mancini is a decent manager. RAWK is hysterically unbalanced - either shit or outstanding. He's won the domestic cup in 5 out of the 11 seasons he's been managing. People can look at his 3 league titles however they want, but the bloke wins trophies. He won City's first for 30 odd years.

He should've won the league this year and there's no getting away from that, but RAWKites need to learn about shades of grey.

Actually, he'll have loads and loads to spend this summer.

They will sell tevez, adebayor, and ballotelli for a combined sum of ... What?

£70m?

He'll have an absolute stack of cash to spend just to break even.

I'm not convinced it will be Mancini there to spend it though, however cheque book man himself Jose would be in his element...

Whatever the situation, next season you'd find it easy to believe they will have yet more quality at their disposal and should realistically be presenting a challenge on all 4 fronts.
