Going to need to find some new and very warm clothes to wear for this one!  Udine was the coldest I think I've ever been (except one game against West Ham/West Brom when I was in the Centenary Stand singing that 'His name's not fucking Keano' song on my own)

Best price flight from here is 383 via Moscow or 451 direct on emirates, its one of them years Minsk, Moscow now St peters all expensive to get too, if we get through i hope it is Kiev next round at least i can get there for 200 quid from here.

Looking forward to this one but not the weather, I thought Udin was cold but -10  :oover there that is going to be hard to cope with, and a very tough game as well.

Visa next week is 150 here :( :(

Just waiting for the right flights to come back down in price at the moment, hotels look great, lot cheaper than the ones in Moscow.

Should be a great trip this. Had a Christmas party on Thursday, Friday was a bit slow and yesterday we had the Fulham game of course. So today is the first day I will look into travel arrangements etc. Looks as if costs for flight and visa will be about the same as for Anzhi. Loads of hotels to chose from, but some investment into clothes will be required as well.
Udine will feel like a carribean island compared to Russia. -17 at the moment and I read somewhere that this is the coldest Russian winter side 1938. At least we are not playing in Siberia where it was -57 degrees today.

Don't think we'll get a big allocation for this one, they are still playing at the old stadium capacity 21,500,so maybe 1,500 for us..

Should be ok with just 1 away for this?
We’ll still finish in top four - and they won’t. You can quote me on this in May.

Might even be less than that considering we only got 1600 for the 3 group stage fixtures and all those sides had 30,000+ stadium capacities.

Incredible choice of hotels. Can't review 500+ hotels, so just picked a modern good looking hotel in the city centre for about £50 per night - you can easily find cheaper (and of course much more expensive) options depending on what you want to spend. Much better value for money than in Moscow.
Really looking forward to this trip now.

...and booked. Getting into St. Petersburg at 5 on the wednesday and then off somewhere else for a weekend booze up on friday afternoon. Hotels look pretty well priced and there's loads of them. Anyone have any ideas on the main drinking areas so I can book somewhere close? Just a guess, but I'm pretty sure we wont be taking over a square on this one.

Never done a TC trip and not going to Zenith anyway but for trips like this I can't see that they offer anything at all.

I can understand people using a day trip (work etc.) but surely there is no benefit at all to using TC in this case.

Do the TC trips guarantee you a ticket whether you meet credits criteria or not?
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

Hahahaha. £599. Perhaps this is a good offer if you're a millionaire and hate booking flights and hotels yourself.
Temperature in St Petersburg has gone from -20 to +1 within three days btw!

Shameless robbers.

Correct, those Finn Air flights were £224 before Crooks block booked it, the hotels will be about £50 per head per night.

A mark up of £275 pp for a mini bus to and from the hotel.

We had to specify the dates of entry and exit which I think you would have to do for a double or multi entry visa - which of course we wouldn't have been able to do when applying last time.

ive had a single entry for Moscow for work before, then i had to go again, so i got a multi entry. Had to specify dates for the first visit, but never went again in the year the visa was valid, so wasnt ever tested whether you needed to specify dates. I didnt think you did, but could be wrong. Probably worth asking what the difference in price is and finding out whether you need to specify any other dates for future visits. If its valid for a year, you just never know.
