When I think of Nunez I think of Moneyball (movie). They targeted a player that always made the bases. Not great at anything else but that part of his game was guaranteed. Liverpool under Edwards will very much become data-driven and I wonder if with Nunez they will crunch the numbers and conclude he will always make the team 'X' amount of chances guaranteed therefore it's worth keeping him.
Alternatively, they may crunch the numbers and conclude he doesn't score enough goals given the amount of chances he creates therefore if you bring in someone who doesn't create as much because takes more of his chances is the way to go. It's difficult to know which way it will go with Nunez. I watch international football and he looks freaking amazing for Uruguay. The talent is there so I have no problem with him being retained. Equally, I have no problem with him being moved on at the start of a new manager's journey as a new manager will have a specific type of player in mind to make his system work.
