Dull.

They're both about nullifying the opponent first and foremost, so you get the stalemate as both managers hate an open game and just want sterile possession. Arteta tactically influenced by Pep and trying to create the same sterile dominance of every game which to be fair is perfectly fine if it's your team. Don't make for great games though.

Nonstop crying from City as usual.

How do the refs let them do it? First shouter gets a yellow, problem solved.

Last two Arsenal fouls would be a yellow in Coote's book

yep. Seeing the bizarre bookings from our game, and those 2 Arsenal players not booked now, again shows how refs in the PL have no consistancy, and likely no guide as to what is a booking or not. They just go on how they feel.

Wonder if he'll go for a huge gold cheque at Saudi  in the Summer. City must have lots of data showing what the naked eye is. He'll still play some unbelievable passes and assists at times but looks to be far off the constant threat he has been years past.

What a contrast between Coote - dishing out yellows like confetti - and Taylor.

Gabriel is on a par with the flap-eared thug at Everton for kicking people on the half way line.

As fuck. Truly shite game.

To think these are the likely 2x league challengers after Klopp leaves. Robotic, emotionless football.

Further enforces my position that I’m done with football after Klopp.

Anthony Taylor doing the classic "it's a big game so I'm not going to book anyone".

The difference between David Coote and Anthony Taylor in the 2 games today has been infuriating. Coote whipping his yellow card out left, right and centre for any perceived brush of the arm in the middle of the pitch, whereas Taylor refuses to get the card out in the face of cynical fouls in the final third.

Both shite for different reasons.

30 minutes gone, 4 shots between the two teams so far.

For comparison, Salah alone had 7 shots in the first half today.

Further enforces my position that I’m done with football after Klopp.

As a neutral it's boring as fuck. Arteta is just creating the same robotic football as Pep, combined with all the dirty tricks.

It's Klopp that's kept the top end of the league watchable (although I wish we were less stressful to watch at times).

A draw is better both teams losing points.

Maybe you're right, but I was wondering if it'd be easier to battle it out with Arsenal than City. We know too well that City got it in them.

Was a good move up until the finish. Seems to be how Arsenal have decided to play this. Soak up the pressure from City who are far more huff an puff these days if they can’t make an easy breakthrough then hit them on the break
