Remember Klavan scoring a last minute winner against them a few years ago? That was around that time I think. Good times.

New Year’s Day.

We did play them away on Boxing Day in the latter days of Rodger’s when I think they were just up for one season. Have a feeling Sterling scored but can’t remember if we won 1-0 or drew 1-1.

Not sure what's wrong with that. It's normally Leicester, Newcastle or Arsenal!

Burnley is fucking freezing in December

The year is 2085. Liverpool have just played their final game of the season at anfield against wolves. They won 2-0 to take their points tally to 107. City got 108.
if I came home to allison in bed with my wife I'd ask him to phone Virgil to see if he wanted to pop round too.

Ouch to that first 7, and ouch to Christmas. 2nd half of the season looks kind enough to me if we have a head of steam.

Even in our two poor campaigns under Klopp we've motored in the run in. If we can be in contention at the turn of the year then we'll be in the conversation.

Just me that thinks they're pretty decent fixtures? Obviously playing two bigger sides back to back twice isn't ideal but I'm fine with them.

Only just noticed Wolves at home last game. It's like we're doomed to repeat history. Usually means some form of European final is to follow though ...

There has to be a law of averages coming into play surely.

Not a bad time to play Chelsea assuming we do good business over the summer and don't kill our players in pre-season. We had Fulham and Palace to start last year and f*cked it so I'm firmly of the view that it's about us not who we play.

Ending the season at home to Wolves for the 3rd time in 5 years. The previous two times was when we broke the 90 point barrier and narrowly missed out on the title to City.

Third times the charm?

If we win the group we’ll also get a free mid week in February, 2nd place teams play the sides dumped down from the CL in a playoff

22/23 - away vs Chelsea (requested to be away)
21/22 - away vs Fulham
20/21 - home vs Leeds
19/20 - home vs Norwich
18/19 - home vs West Hame
17/18 - away vs Watford
16/17 - away vs Arsenal (did we request an away this year too for the new Main Stand opening?)
15/16 - home vs Stoke
14/15 - home vs Southampton
13/14 - home vs Stoke

More than we've aways - and bear in mind we requested one of those aways also.
Just goes to show how easy your mind can be programmed to PL vs Liverpool conspiracy theories doesn't it as I could have sworn there were more aways 😂

Chelsea away could be anything.  They'll get that new manager bounce, but at the same time it'll take a while for him to work out his best 11 and get them tuned in tactically.

Yeah I'd lean towards thinking it's a good time to play them but a very tough one to call.

Shit start to the season with them away games. We could be playing catch up in the league from the off.

On paper maybe, but maybe not. The season manifests itself in so many ways that over the course of the season results will look better or worse. For instance I doubt many thought we'd struggle against Fulham last season in the opening match and that they and Brighton would have a better season than Chelsea, or that Bournemouth and Forest would stay up and Leicester would go down

Yeah I'd lean towards thinking it's a good time to play them but a very tough one to call.

I'd rather play them first game than 3 or 4 months in when he knows his best 11 and has them working to his way. At least by the time he has got them playing, we'll be facing them at home.

How do you mean? Of the upcoming fixtures the last 6 are 3 at home and 3 away

They've since fixed it. Earlier today when I opened the fixtures page this is what I saw. Luckily I screenshot it  ;D

I thought i'd care and be excited. I don't and am not.

Truth be told, we have to play everyone sometime, if we're not perfect, Man City win it at a canter.

Hard to be excited.

I'm more excited for the Europa League and a chance to go watch the Final in Dublin

Newcastle or Chelsea at home. Beat them early and put doubts on their season early on.

Closest one to predicting Chelsea Away as our first fixture before the list came out.

Liverpool could be without Mohamed Salah for two key games next season due to the Egyptian forward's African Cup of Nations commitments.

AFCON will run between January 13 and February 11 next year, the heart of the football season.

It means Salah is likely to miss their clash with Bournemouth (January 13) as well as potentially season-defining games against Chelsea (31 January) and Arsenal (February 3).

Difficult opening game but best time to play this Chelsea as they'll still be figuring out how Poch likes to play.
