Yeah I'm baffled by the Galacticos shout to be honest. They're just buying really, really, really fucking good players with the added benefit of them all being young and hungry to make a name for themselves. Mbappe lifts multiple UCL's there I would imagine.
Its just a bit of a casual way to describe them signing lots of big name players.
We'll see I guess. On paper its pretty fearsome. Mbappe, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Valverde, Tchouameni and Camavinga. Four central midfielders, two left wingers and a right winger. Not much in defence. Currently having to play Joselu as a central striker (the guy who played for Stoke). And then they might sign Alphonso Davies... a very attacking left back to go with their two big, big name left wingers.
Dont get me wrong, finding a way to get all those players into a functioning team is a nice problem to have...but its also not particularly easy. The age of the players isn't the point. That team of Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo, Raul, Carlos, Beckham etc should have been phenomenal regardless of their age. But it wasnt, because they couldnt gel those players together.
