Only like 2-3 passes backwards. He's going to be such an amazing asset against park the bus teams. Only one training with a team and you could see that he fits it perfectly.

It’s so good to see a player come in and spray the passes like that. Looked so calm and why should he not be...world class

I can live with a few red lines in there as he's attempting passes that we've not really had in our team since Coutinho left.

I'm a bit of a beginner to the Thiago love in so imagine my surprise when he suddenly decided to ping an inch perfect cross-field pass with his left foot!  Teams that press us - not that there's many - are going to be picked off like never before.

So pleased to get an early glimpse of how he will fit into the system. His technique and vision is superb, and he dropped in to the team with supreme assurance. Think Carragher mentioned it during the commentary, about how he looks like he will provide that unexpected pass to create a chance vs the qualities of our existing MF players. Excited to see more of him.

Is that true?

Plenty of reports that Ferguson had done a deal for £17 million but as Moyes was the new manager he had to rubber stamp it and said no.

I love before they even kick off the second half hes all issuing general instructions, notwithstanding hes literally never kicked a ball for the team which is filled with world class players  ;D

Our problem is gonna be we will give him the ball too much lol

Ya, he walks in and we are 10% better instantly. Cool.

what i loved was the speed he gets the ball out of his feet and passes it, so much faster than just about any midfielder playing today, add to that the unpredictability of his passing, it had world class stamped all over it

Yes.

Alonso didn’t have the “shimmy and burst” move that Thiago does.

Didn’t set up any goals and gave away a penalty. Nothing on Bruno Fernandes.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

tbf he gave away a penalty, so maybe Moyes had some insight.  Get rid! ;)

I’m worried. He said he came to us for a new challenge but at this rate I don’t think he’s going to find playing in England challenging at all  ;D

What a player. Not often you see a player slot in so easily and dictating play from the off.

Posting that grid in a Thiago thread deserves some sort of sanction, it's totally irresponsible. Half of RAWK will subconsciously think to look up "Twins Danny DeVito" on Netflix, whereas the other half will have their PTSD triggered by the sight of that centre circle potato in a Liverpool shirt.

So a mate of mine said that he read something saying Thiago's passing ability is going to open Robbo up a lot more. I was sceptical at first but the amount of balls he played to Robbo in space was unreal, and its going to continue, and we'll get a lot of goals out of it!
