Foden is a little cheat. Diaz’s hand wasn’t moving yet Foden went down as if he was punched. Far too many players pretend they have been hurt when somebody touches their face. Nasty little cheat. In fact most of the City players were going down too easily.

Trent was outstanding today, despite being bizarrely called out on the half time thread. Glad he found his shooting boots as well, he took that shot so quickly after his first touch, reminded me of how Sturridge used to get his shots off.

I’m not as happy as I should be after that though. It’s a great point but I just feel we could have won. Perhaps being too harsh on the lads though.

Nice and tight at the top, I like it. Anyone who thinks City are going to run away with it need to take a look at how fucking average they were today. They might not drop many points at home but if they do that type of performance away they'll drop plenty. The Chelsea result should have been a warning shot for them and you could see Pep knew an equaliser was coming.

We showed real guts today, this was a class point. Pity we fluffed a couple of good chances but considering they've won 23 straight at home the draw is a good outcome. I am hoping, praying even, that Ali just felt a minor tweak and he'll maybe only miss a game through precaution. Crossing all the fingers and toes.

Thought the 2nd half of football from both teams was generally pretty awful. Period of about 10 minutes were we gave up trying to play out of the back and instead tried long balls, which we then seemed to lose every battle in the air resulting in lost possession. Luckily for us today City didn't have much in their tank to punish us in the 2nd half other than one good chance before our goal.

Had to laugh at Gary neville who said the city fans aren't at it today and they are flat. He said it without any irony as well..

The 12:30pm kick off + the game being just after international break had a major influence on the intensity of the overall game. Huge point!

I agree. We looked pretty calm and assured throughout. A bit off in the final third, for sure, but defensively, we were solid.

Would say everyone going for the title has weaknesses this year. We are in with a real shout if we can get some consistency away from home.

gakpo run pulling away the defender made that goal. oh and southgate was right in putting trent further up the pitch where he can be a bigger threat with his striking

thought the sub of endo and elliot was a bit weird but the coaches and klopp probably know what they are doing

Great result, we would have taken it before a ball was kicked. We were the better team in the second half.

However the goal we conceded was very poor, two mistakes from Alison, Macca and Szoboszlai should have fouled Ake and stopped the play.
