Carlsberg rumoured to have offered
« on: May 3, 2002, 01:38:16 pm »
£15million for a 3 year sponsorship deal.   Apparently it is triple what the last deal was.  Although I thought the sponsorship deal was already sorted out?

Who knows mate. They keep this sort of thing very close to their chests. £15 over 3 years sounds a good deal though. And I for one will be happy that Carlsberg remain the sponsor.

It is a great deal especially since Arsenal have just signed  4 year deal with O2 for £10 million in total.

Carlsberg regular is an extremely poor example of a lager. Tastes like it has been filtered thru some hairy arsed Danish blokes sock. Export is not much better. Continental brewed Stella for me please!

Ladies and Gentlemen may I announce the introduction of Cains, a local brewed ale here on Merseyside.

Little known around the UK, but rocket fuel if drank to excess.

Or if in doubt, we could bring back Higsons.

Lion Red for me or anything not brewed stateside or in Australia.

Carlsberg isn't that bad if you wait till you're half cut but in saying that any Kiwi's here know where to score a couple of Carlsberg t-shirts?

No, the well known Indian beers are Kingfisher and Cobra. They are both damn fine with a vindaloo, but a bit naff on their own.

Tiger comes from Sigapore and is wonderful on it's own. Nothing weird about it in terms of gas or alcohol content, it's just a damn fine tasting lager.

I've been to south east asia a few times for work and it is the beer of choice. To my great delight I've discovered our local Safeways has started stocking it. Very soon there will be a Tiger revolution and it will take over the world...
