The Reds confirmed their spot in the last eight with an 11-2 aggregate victory over Sparta Prague after tonight’s second leg at Anfield, which ended in a 6-1 win.

The draw for the next stage will be held at 12pm GMT on Friday and will also include: AC Milan, Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica, Marseille, Roma and West Ham United.

It is unseeded and teams from the same country can be paired together.

Quarter-finals will be played across two legs on Thursday April 11 and Thursday April 18, with the club drawn first in each tie playing the first leg at home.

Friday’s draw will also map out the competition route for the semi-finals and final.'

Definitely stronger than the last two, mainly with us and Leverkusen who are two of the best teams in Europe this season.

Frankfurt and Rangers the other year in the final - two really mediocre teams and Sevilla and Roma last season.

I don't blame anybody for being concerned about that, because in such circumstances the result doesn't come down to skill. Real Madrid spawned almost their entire run to Paris, despite being largely shit. It happens. If we end up facing Leverkusen at any stage, we would have to guard against any soft cards and look to break out of the blocks fast. But as I said before, long way to go before then.

This is the way I've been looking at it all along is that we're a Champions League team in the Europa League. But I just got very excited when I heard BL were going out with 94 mins played as I did feel like it was one hand the trophy as arrogant as that sounds.

Ah no, I didn't want it to come across as that at all. And of course I think they'll all want to avoid us too but, the easier a path we have to the final the fresher it keeps us in the league is all. And I honestly can't be arsed with the whole Klopp vs Alonso narrative if we do get there and they end up on the opposite end of the draw to us. I really want this trophy for our lads and especially Jurgen so he can have won every, single trophy with us.

Yeah defo, I find it more interesting than the champions league this season which is so damn stale feels like the same tournament every year. Europa league just feels way more unpredictable and crazy.

Let's be honest, the run we've had so far has been ridiculously kind. The type Chelsea/United/Arsenal have had in this competition in the past. Average opposition and kind travel, ability to rotate too. Might get slightly harder from this stage but it is the Quarters now, truth be told there's a few teams there I think we'd probably batter if we fancied it.

Marseille next for me. Not been very good for years, pretty unrecognisable team, Aubameyang still bagging though. Strike me as being pretty weak defensively. Home first leg would be nice regardless IMO, would encourage a good atmosphere and chance to go well in control.
