Had to win that, and we didn't. Not good.

Until the end of my days I'll never understand how that penalty wasn't given.

We couldnt loose it.... City and arsenal to play each other.. 10 games to go

I’m done. That’s just ridiculous. Studs to his fucking chest and var says he ‘played the bAll in a reasonable position’.

What a game!

Amazing performance, turned it on completely in the second half.

We could/should have won, but could have gone either way in the end.

Still sitting pretty in the table.

That’s so frustrating we couldn’t find a way to score from open play. We were all over them for most of that half. Oh well I guess we hope for a draw next between Arsenal and City now.

i said id have taken a point at half time but considering the chances we had in the second half and no penalty give for that assault at the end its very disappointing we didnt win that.

regardless, we are in a good position now with Arsenal and City to play.

Boot to the chest not a penalty, anywhere else on the field it's a free kick.
It's a free kick for the dangerous height of his foot without contact most of the time, bottled by Oliver

I didn't get the inferiority complex before the game. They shat themselves at Anfield again.

We had good chances to win it, so did they but we were the better team. Not a terrible result to be fair even though I genuinely believed we could beat them (even before the game).

After being outplayed in the first half I thought we turned the tables and absolutely bossed the second and then completely outplayed them. We were never going to get another pen against these even if one of our players was shot, were we?

It's one of those where you'd feel disappointed not to have won but would have taken a draw after 30 minutes based on how things were turning out.

Great game of football that.

The tireless running of Nunez got us a draw. What a hero.

Speaking of which, how well is Endo playing? Fucking hell, has he leveled up since he got here.

And Macca is just spectacular.

Well done, Redmen. Really excellent performance by an understrength side.

Garbage VAR decision there. How the fuck is raking a foot down someone's chest not considered a penalty?! We were really good in the second half and should have scored at least once if not twice with Diaz. I know Nunez can be frustrating but I'd never take him off again, especially if the other option is to bring on Gakpo who has his qualities but being involved and putting himself is not one of those qualities.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Disappointed that we didn’t win that. We were on top and were the better team. On a couple of occasions we just dithered instead of trusting ourselves. Mo couldn’t get into the game which was a pity.

Not the worst result but we really should have won.

Wonderful game of football. Absolutely battered them in the second half, should have won if Luis could have put just one of those chances away. The lad left his heart on the pitch though, so no criticism.

Fabulous effort by our young team. Still a long way to go in the race.

That said, fully deserved draw, probs edged and should've won.

He got a touch on the ball. Can understand why it wasn't given. It's a VAR issue and nothing to do with the ref who probably didn't see it in real time.

Important not to lose but should have won but for some poor finishing and some poor corners.

I think that's as good as we've been against City so hopefully that lads can take confidence from the performance at least.

We had our chances. Could have been 4-1 up after 15 minutes of the 2nd half. Great play cutting City open but we have to score. Seems like City ran out of steam at the end. Don't think they pushed that hard in the 1st half. Great game. This will make for a very exciting run in.

Proud AF, no one outside of the Club would have given us a chance when that line up came out. Our players are monsters, and they deserved to win that but regardless they were incredible.

Virgil is a demi god amongst mere mortals.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close
