Great to have those three back - adding them to the lineup makes things look loads better, especially if we can get Mo back on the bench in the next week or so (no offence to the kids)

Would liked to have seen one of Nunez or Danns start.

Why rush Nunez back? He will come on at sometime during the game.

Insane team. Hopefully one of Endo, Nunez or Szobo can come on at half time or no later than 50-55 minutes.

VVD and Konate played a half each so should be ok
Diaz and Robertson should be fine 9rested) along with Kelleher and Clarke
the rest running on gas, Gakpo in particular
Anyone can have a good day, but you have to be able to perform on a bad day.

Great to see that bench. Team not too shabby either. Gonna be a battle today, but very hopeful we can take the 3 points one way or another

We’ll need to be clinical and take our chances and defend like our lives depend on it. A clean sheet and we win the game. Hopefully Gakpo has saved his goals for this one!

Would have preferred Danns up top with Elliot in midfield and Mac sitting deeper. Really not sure Gomez at 6 worked well at all and he looked out of position when they counter attacked.

This is gonna be a slog. Getting to half time without going behind and bringing on the big guns is key I feel.  They can be undone by set pieces so VVD  to continue his scoring  run hopefully.

I think that's how Klopp sent them out recently (can't recall what game).

Conor used to play RW when he started, I believe.

If we get Mac and Elliott on ball should be fine. Need a much bigger game from Gakpo.

Let's hope we don't let him have too many touches in the box. Div can be terrible and then bang one in.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

It’s certainly brave.

Why is it brave? The guy is big, strong, athletic and has proven he has the footballing brain to adapt to playing multiple positions in what must be one of the most mentally  challenging team set-ups we have ever had.

To me he's one of those players where, no matter where he's playing, you can say 'Well that's boxed, we'll get a 7/10 minimum.'

would very much liked to have protected gomez, after a week of challenges (thrown on first half then learning a new position on the fly), by giving him a simple rb role. especially against a manager known (and complimented by klopp) for the quality of the different counters they build.

maybe we still will, and gomez goes right back, mac deepest with elliot and clark, and bradley plays front three like he did for a bit in the final. he's great at winning the ball in the opposition half.

likewise after clark's great efforts this week, and impressively doing his first 90 mins against adults, thought we might save him for the bench - or at least from the heightened physical battle for midfield. no doubting he'll be ready to go and keeping up this really amazing spell, i just hoped he'd not have to be leaned on to go against fresh players

So we're finally going to learn what it's like playing AGAINST Divock Origi. Feel a bit sick to be honest. It's not a very good Forest side though and their keeper looks Championship standard. Got to test him today from the start because we could just as easily come undone with a changed midfield. Hopefully Virgil and Konate can keep Origi quiet and Bradley/Robertson can go on to have influence because I can see a bit of a struggle for the midfield three creatively.

Bradley is such a useful player to have in the squad - right back, midfield and right wing all covered. I have no doubt he would do a job at left back too.

Hopefully he keeps his feet on the ground and keeps working as hard as he is.

Up the Reds. Have faith. And if we start slowly, have more faith. Some great options on the bench if we need one of our early season style turnarounds.

They’re shite from set pieces - goal machine Virg to score again.

It’s brave as he struggled first half against Saints.

Gibbs-White will be in between the lines so can’t afford to lose his position.
