Endo off at half time is the obvious play (hopefully). Then with a bit more energy and playing on the front foot in midfield (and quicker distribution from Mac), the rest of the team should be able to play themselves into better performanecs

Endo off and Elliot on please.

Thought we'd be fired up for this after how poorly we started last weekend, couldn't get into their half in the first ten minutes. We'll probably get away with it, might not, shouldn't have to.

Too many players not being up to speed hasn't helped(Trent, Robbo, and Endo). No excuse for the rest though. Sort it out, Liverpool.

We haven’t been great but what gets posted in the pre match thread has no bearing on how the players play.

I never suggested it did.

Horrendous. The arrogance has bit us, again. Lifeless, sterile, slow... just so 'meh', like we can't be bothered with this one. Curtis and Alexis need a fucking rocket up their arses, they've been appalling and Endo is having to cover pretty much everything in the middle of the park. The front 3 are doing ok but they're feeding on scraps.

Burnley, of course, are having the game of their lives, everything is working perfectly for them. It's always the fucking way with the shite at the foot of the table. Every game is a cup final for them, and our lads seem to forget that sometimes. Our lads need to put up in the second half, because that just isn't good enough if we even want to think about a title. Thinking you're better than the opposition doesn't mean you are unless you put the work in. So fucking lifeless and arrogant. Sort it.

I've seen this film before.

Crappy opposition, shite performance.

We ain't winning this.

That's the spirit.

I'll also seen this movie before. We'll be much improved in the second half and win!

The cheats beat this lot with an aggregate score of 12-1 over 3 games in the last year. Meanwhile we struggle - just shows whag we’re up against. When we don’t steamroll teams our plan B is hit or miss.

Mac, Endo and Jones have been terrible.
Diaz jinking about and Robbos old tenacity is still in the treatment room.

We have enough to win this if we make better decisions but i’m not confident at all

City batter these EVERY time without fail. They always make it tough for us, although VAR was their help last time.

Too many players missing or not 100% today. At least it's a winnable game. Tough away game today and we're fucked.

Goal was going to come for them because we’re losing too many battles today in the middle of the park.
Too many players just off it again.

the ref letting their players wrestle our players to the ground at will

seems like the rock has come to EPL.

but still a rather languid performance. hope we come out 2nd half with a bit more urgency.

Poor 1st half, but we should've gone in 1 nil up.

Need to shape up, can't be letting Burnley dictate the game at home.
Some clubs were always destined for greatness...

Trent is becoming a problem, since he's come back the team has gone back to a complete lack of intensity, all he does is walk around congesting the middle waiting for space to ping long passes.

Always takes him a few games after injury..he's always targeted defensively though.

Bradley gave us a lot more solidity.

Let’s not pretend it was a good half from him. His first couple of passes were to central defenders played slowly and behind them.

Also think Connor gets further up the pitch to cross, which definitely makes it easier for chances and harder to defend.

I thought Endo was the best of our midfield. Another frustrating defensive show from Trent. Burnley picking up too many second balls. Ref giving us fuck all (he was staring right at Nunez getting wrestled over near the halfway line)

Not a lot of positives from that. Jota scores a header even though he’s not the tallest.

Some good crosses from Trent but Burnley have defended them well. We need to up the tempo and find some space. Their keeper is looking shaky so get some shits off against him.

We should be winning headers in our own area and not letting the opposition have a clean header.

We are at home against Burnley and there are no excuses if we don’t win this match.

Dunno about that, but I'd like to see him go down the line on the outside far more, to keep the defender guessing.
