Amazes me how Sky are basically dismissing our chances.

Trying to be objective. We have improved greatly since last season and are starting to play well as a team (including the subs we bring on). I haven’t watched much of Arsenal this season so don’t know how we compare to them. City look very good as they all pass the ball well. Our passing is not quite up to City’s standards but the quality of our squad means that we should be up there at the end of the season.
Our attack is our secret weapon.  We don't even need to play well to win.

On the Jones/Gravenberch debate - I don't think it really matters with 5 subs. I think outside of a key few players, all those players will be rotated and play equal game time.

Clear to see this team has so much to learn still, but wow.. what a difference a year makes. We look so much better and clear we're nowhere near our best just yet. Still think it's too early to be thinking about a title race - but that City game looks tasty, just such a shame it's right after the international break.

The one positive is that City too will have a load of players away on International duty. It might be a case of who copes the best with some players not fully up to scratch after being away, & the early kick off time.

Well at least we’re well versed at the early KO after the international break. It’s away which doesn’t help but hopefully we can make our regular experience of it count

I was going to say that the atmosphere will be flat because of the early kick off time, but then I remembered it's being played at a ground where the atmosphere is always flat regardless of the time.

Reminded me of some of the games back in the 80’s when we played games at walking pace against stubborn opposition and did what was needed. Atmosphere was flat in those games just like today.  All bodes well.

Home games starting to look routine again after a weird season last year.

We did only lose 1 home Leaguebgame last season. For most sides, or even most LFC sides without Jurgen that’s pretty great. Although did we draw quite a few as well? Feels like we did.

Definitely a good side to be stringing these routine home wins together. 5 out of 5 and the only bother we’ve been in was the first 25 minutes or so against Bournemouth in the first one and even then, we’d completely turned it around by half time.

If you look back at the Forest game at home last season - we won, but made real hard work out of it. Won 3-2 but it was one of those where we looked exposed every time Forest played through the initial press. Pretty sure all our goals came from set pieces as well!

In contrast, today we just swatted them aside without them laying a glove on us (apart from the last 10 minutes when we took our foot of the gas). They looked as terrified on the ball as they did off it.
And if the rain stops, and everything's dry.. she would cry, just so I could drink tears from her eyes.

Very happy with that. Pressurised them all the time without stressing ourselves, got in front and did what was needed to cruise the game. Macca and Szobo excellent but good all around, even the much maligned Tsimikas, happy days.

Much of a muchness to be fair.

Nice to watch a game and not go through any palpations towards the end.

Gravenberch, Mac Allister and Szoboszlai(MOTM, also pass of the match for Salah's goal (whether he ment it or not :))) all looked pretty good.  Tsimikas and VVD pick of the defenders.

Excellent build up play for our first two goals.  Nice fast accurate incisive passing.  Want to see more of that in the final third.

Also, Jota doing what Jota does.

Expected more from Forest given the trouble they caused us last season.  Delighted to see Awoniyi not starting.

Another 3 points on the pile.

Thoughts and support with Luis Diaz and his family at this time.

Oh man that was a horrid game.  Glad this one was routine this time.  I hate comparing players because i understand they all bring something different but the upgrade from what Szoboszlai provides that rcm role to last year is insane.

Routine win once we grabbed the first, wasn't quite happening up until then but with a little bit of patience we made the opening then hit them again to take control. Was a bit annoyed with Gakpo's getting chalked off as 4 nil would've been a better reflection on the game.

No matter, a great tribute to Lucho, hope they find his Dad safe and well as quickly as possible.

That's it.
A week where the pressure's been a bit less. "Relaxing" games against ordinary opposition and a nice run-out for all the lads.
