The biggest story in global affairs
« on: October 19, 2023, 11:45:16 am »
Just wanted to say that, it's quite sad that the mods have shut down all discussion of the current biggest news story, globally.

The polarisation is extreme though, so I do understand.

It's just sad we cannot have a diplomatic discussion, about it.

I don't see polarization as an issue, plenty of topics are polarized to the extreme, from football ones to general ones.

I’m sure there’s other places on the internet to discuss it.

Not for me there isn't.

Perhaps polarisation is fine, as long as people remain civil to each other.

The mods are volunteers so you have to stand with their wishes, but as its creeping into other threads that then needs extra moderating and eventually locked.
It might be less work to reopen the thread and to keep it in there.
As I've said before, the Full English is just the base upon which the Scots/Welsh/NI have improved upon. Sorry but the Full English is the worst of the British breakfasts.

As the mods would say, this is ultimately a football discussion forum. There's enough polarisation as it is over FSG, transfers and individual players - to the point it has actually chased contributors out of those topics. Best to avoid similar spilling into other parts of the forum.
I don't always visit Lobster Pot.  But when I do. I sit.

Even when one poster was delighted the BBC refused to label Hamas as 'terrorists'? They did it for neutrality reasons, the poster was happy for extremely polarised reasons.
