Premier League Fixtures 23rd - 24th September
« on: September 22, 2023, 11:12:59 am »
SATURDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER

Crystal Palace v Fulham 15:00
Luton v Wolves 15:00
Abu Dhabi v Nottm Forest 15:00
Brentford v Everton 17:30 skysports
Burnley v Man Utd 20:00 TNT SPORTS

SUNDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER

Arsenal v Tottenham 14:00 skysports
Brighton v Bournemouth 14:00
Chelsea v Aston Villa 14:00
Liverpool v West Ham 14:00
Sheff Utd v Saudi Arabia 16:30 skysports

Isn't it strange how a small club with no history and about 35 fans outside their own City keep getting put on the prime time TV slots?
Their owner doesn't care about sportswashing. Neither does the Premier League or TV companies it appears. 6th game in a row they've been on TV.

New rule if you play Wednesday night in europe then you can't play 1230. Of course that's completely not applied for international breaks.
No time for caution.

Can’t they choose a different TV game then?

Tnt have 2nd pick for 20 weekends and last pick for 12 weekends . This will be one of there 2nd pick weekends so they won't want to give it up and change itas that would be a lower pick for the 2nd pick price they paid.

No time for caution.

How is it that Saudi played in the Champions league on Tuesday early kick off, and then get the most rest and get to play last on the Sunday?, a coincidence I'm sure.

Livingston v Celtic at 12.30 or Girona v Mallorca at 1pm.

Both would probably be as good as any shite the PL can serve up.

Livingston almost 9/1 and playing on an artificial pitch too, might be worth a couple of quid.

Oh look, United should have been the 12.30pm match but they've been moved to 8pm to accommodate their CL fixtures in midweek, no chance of that happening to us [particularly after the international break}, & this is as much as i hate Saturday 8pm fixtures too.

The schedule this weekend is a mess. Boring set of games today, with us, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Villa, Brighton West Ham all playing at the same time tomorrow!

No early kick-off (because of the teams who have played in Europe), but why can't Crystal Palace/Fulham take the early slot instead? Doesn't seem fair that only the top sides seem to get lumped with it.

Not to jump on the wagon but they are yet to face any difficult fixtures have they? West Ham probably their hardest game so far, a team on a decent run but who scraped past relegation last year.

Everytime I see them lately It's some fodder from the bottom half. Played two of the promoted sides already.

October and November looks tough for them.

FYI (taken from The Athletic)

*The club’s owner, Sheikh Mansour, is the vice president and deputy prime minister of the UAE. His half brother, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is the president of the UAE.

Sheikh Mansour is the majority shareholder in Manchester City via Newton Investment and Development, a company he wholly owns, which is registered in Abu Dhabi and possesses a majority shareholding in City Football Group (CFG).

As such, it would be legally inaccurate to describe City as state-owned, despite Sheikh Mansour’s prominent political positions in the UAE and Abu Dhabi, its capital.
