Yep Europe can never feel comfortable with the current lead they have because of that, Europe need at worst to go overnight with 11-5 lead, anything less the US will start fancying their chances in the singles.

USA more with more aggressive putts. That's what you've got to do in matchplay, no point in leaving it short and is one of the reasons why Poulter was so successful in this format.

Looking a bigger and mistake in not picking Rahm. Not arsed if he was tired or whatever you don't leave a big presence like him out. Must have been a boost to USA seeing him left out. Bit like Klopp leaving Mo out tonight

The Yanks were due a good session and will be interesting to see the final birdie total as they are winning the afternoon without really getting close to top gear. Think the Europeans are taking a round off before they apply the knock out punch tomorrow

If it stays 2-2 it's basically over. Donald hasn't made a single mistake thus far and a drawn session here while giving Rahm a rest justifies that decision as well IMO.

Even 1 and a half points for us and it's done.

yeah there was nothing wrong with resting Rahm, he might have played instead of McIntyre but he's one of the pairs that are leading.

As you say as long as the Americans don't win the session convincingly it's a win for Europe in my opinion

Well done Rose and MacIntyre. Spieth and Thomas are one of the weakest pairings on current form so it was important to beat them. If Europe can win the final match then it’s been a decent afternoon.
