I mean its a bit like all the price increases the best way to counter it, would be for fans to work together but they won't because rivalries will get in the way, rather than doing something which would benefit the game and fans as a whole.

I would love fans over here to be similar to the ones in Germany who will take a stand on issues like these, but it's not in our nature sadly. Money is too integrated into football here, like you say its about signings, spending cash. It's frustrating. That's why most people don't look at the wider implication for sports washing in the sport.

Your not looking at it the right way or maybe I should say the way I am looking at it as there is no right way to look at it. City win the league, everyone goes ‘meh’, after enough ‘mehs’ one of two thing happen, either the authorities start doing something about their cheating or people just stop watching, either way the sports washing is detrimentally affected. If Arsenal win the league the cheating looks less of a problem and the sports washing continues because it’s not that much of a big deal if someone else wins the league and the authorities continue to look the other way.

Well said. If Arsenal win it, fair enough, they'll deserve it over the course of a season and I don't see 115 charges against their name. But if anyone thinks that Abu Dhabi winning another title can be a more palatable option then the game really is fucked.
