He's brilliant, absolute bargain.

Agree.  I was slightly worried watching the pre-season vids when he was huffing and puffing and only coming third in the lactate tests(*)...

What a player.  Does he get mentioned as one of the best signings of the season outside of Liverpool fans?  I don't watch enough media/shows outside of games so don't really know.  Not that i care what anyone else thinks but i just think he deserves the recognition is all.

Signing of the season in the PL.

£35 million is astounding business, just oozes class.

So tidy with the ball.

It's no wonder Messi loves to play with him in the national team. Great performance tonight.

Does he have a best position? I genuinely think you could play him just about anywhere and he’d figure it out and find a way to make his teammates better. Whether he’s a 6, 8 or 10, he’s just so assured and confident.

He does and it's 8. Because he's excellent at 6 type things and excellent at 10 type things but he's not quite truly top level at either. As an 8 though, he's most definitely an elite player because he does both 6 type things and 10 type things very, very well.

Absolutely imperious tonight and covered every blade of grass. So much energy and tenacity, and he was breaking up play, putting in tough tackles, starting attacks, and carrying the ball forward at pace. Such an important player for us.

What an absolute steal of a signing he's been, and he's still only 25.
I've got OCD, but I prefer to call it CDO so it's in alphabetical order.

One of the best signings of the season from any club in the league and certainly one of the bargains.

I had a lot of mixed feelings on him earlier in the season - albeit being clear I was happy we signed him and understood the need - but since he’s been back from injury he’s been our best midfielder and possibly our best player full stop.

Endo is more physical and a better header, so I think that suits the no. 6 in our team. It also allows Mac to go and cause havoc with his passing and little runs around the box.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

Since I told you I’d post when I agree with you… agreed. Mac is a better 6 than Endo and a better 6 than nearly every 6 in the league. He has some weaknesses which mean I’d rather him at 8 (because he’s also one of the best 8s in the league) if we had a better option than Endo. But Mac is a great option there.

:D

Two assists for Mac yesterday, and they were the least interesting things about his performance. He just has an innate understanding of how to play all over the middle of the park. He's always available for the pass, has his eyes on a swivel I'd say, creates, tackles, dribbles, scores. He's an unbelievable, transformative signing for us.

We robbed those fuckers good n proper.
In fact I'd set fire to the car that brought him up here to get rid of the evidence.
It would be even funnier is we have a £200m release clause to keep Mac Allister.

I'm being serious here but do you think MacAllister could be our best individual midfielder since Gerrard/Alonso in 08?

Fabinho has a great shout in this argument but as an all round player, Alexis continues to impress in everything.
