Calling all NBA fans, it’s time to build your fantasy all-time NBA team

Here are the rules:

- we will pick our player and select their 4 year peak (1979-80 to 2023-23 seasons).
I.e Nikola Jokic ‘19-23

- 10 player roster (4x guards, 4x forwards & 2x centers)

You’re the GM, so you pick the tactics/rotations/playstyle - a dreamteam that could dominate any era from the 80s through to the current modern game.

Should there be a required distribution of guards, forwards and centres the way you'd have required positions in a football team draft?

Yes, I would suggest at least two players to cover each position: point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward and center.

Personally, positions aren’t essential I don’t think. If you want to try and use LeBron as the point you can argue your case. Same as if you want Draymond Green at the 5.

I know names but not positions. And most of my selections would be based on NBA Jam from 1998 so I think I’ll sit this one out assuming you get enough people in from elsewhere.

We're building a roster who can dominate in the 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s or 20s, so Ewing is a very good pick. He shon in the golden era of big men (great rim protector with solid post moves + mid-range ability).
