Victoria (2015) - Wildcard & Foreign Language pick
Not to get all dramatic, but this was the first film I saw in a cinema after my 'pa passed away. He taught me pretty much everything I know about film and I remember walking out the cinema feeling pretty bummed I couldn't discuss this one with him. He loved one take shots. My first taste of them being through Godard and Coutard's legendary camerawork. Victoria doesn't have any of the finesse that Godard brought to his filmmaking, but a film shot without a single cut is an incredible feat. Not a masterpiece, but a must watch.
