I’m tired of these sports authorities fucking everything up. At least UEFA admitted their fuck up but we’re probably going to get a more difficult draw now through no fault of our own. I fancy us against anyone but I’d prefer Salzburg again.

Don't get me wrong I think we could probably beat PSG but why do we want a tough game and at the same time I would much rather PSG knock out United. Ideally Chelsea getting PSG would be nice and United getting Atletico. The team to beat will probably be City.

Coz they cocked up the draw, they can't risk anyone complaining about a partial re-draw. Just like you can't get a 'little bit pregnant' you have to go the whole hog, to mix metaphors in way Uefa fumbles balls.

Just the Europa Conference League play-off round and the Champions League last-16 draw to go!

And as if this could not get any more farcical, Uefa have put additional guidance around the Europa Conference League play-off round draw.

In theory, Tottenham cannot play Leicester and Vitesse cannot be drawn against PSV Eindhoven.

However, within the draw guidance issued this morning a potential all-English (or Dutch) meeting is possible.

“Due to the postponement of the match Tottenham Hotspur vs Stade Rennais FC, please note that Tottenham Hotspur and Vitesse will be in the draw today as potential group G runners-up. The outcome of the draw will not change due to the qualified team.”

It's the reality of the calendar. It's packed so tight (with no small part due to UEFA) that one postponement can fuck everything up.

Better for us that they redo the whole draw, as it gives us better odds, but they could've let the Benfica-Real tie stand. There were no issues with that first one, everything went to pot right after that.
