Congrats to Roma. Really surprised they were able to hold out as that's definitely not been the case this season where they could sit and defend. Feyenoord I don't think were terrible, they had 13 shots but for as long as they were behind that's probably just not enough.

When they first announced the conference league, I was like, another competition... but its been alright. Clubs that don't go far in Europe, given a chance to go on a European Cup run.

If there is a brain cell at BT it likely fell down the back of the couch from when they had James Richardson, Julien Laurens, Rafa Honigstein and James Horncastle doing quality tv shows there (seems so long ago now).

And after the league cup win, Kloppo said the celebrations with the team and fans felt just like the CL ones to him!

There’s a snobbishness about some cup competitions, but like you say - if that was the one you qualify for and you get to the final, it’s huge.

Look at Leicester, Rodgers made a bit of a prick of himself saying he didn’t even know what the conference league was. But once they started playing the games, he went all out to try and win it.

They desperately need another name for it. Conference League just sounds cheap and subpar. Something like Euro League would sound better.

Not getting the dislike here. I thought tonights game was far more watchable than that shyte of a Europa final last week.

Some of the Feyenoord approach play was decent but final ball was dogshit all night.

I enjoyed the Conference league, think it is a welcome addition to football.

I found it funny how yesterday the focus was all on Mourinho when they won, his tactics were ancient and they got battered in the 2nd half, they won in spite of Mourinho yesterday, but he is getting the plaudits.

That Sinisterra for Feyenoord looked really good too.

Say what you want about Mourinho and his decline over the last decade, he still knows how to win trophies.

Had no idea Roma had never won a European trophy. Feels like they are way too big a club to not have won one before.

The most commercially viable team in England only have a cup winners cup to their name. European trophies aren't easy to win.

They won the Fairs Cup in the sixties. Fascinating idea for a competition - ‘London’ reached the final in the first year. Were ‘Liverton’ ever in it?

Yep, I got excited to watch then as soon as Roma went one-up I remembered "Ah yes, this is going to be a Mourinho final". We of course did this ourselves in 2019 with the rope-a-dope against Spurs.

Really happy for Roma as a club and the people there as they deserve better than what they've been given lately.

I think it shows just how far down Mourinho and his brand of football has fallen. He won't be winning a CL with his type of football again.

Quite nice to have a city-wide team. We could finally have had that Merseyside XI featuring van Dijk and 10 Evertonians.
What would people do today if putting together a London team? Pretty much all Chelsea, plus Kane, Son and maybe Romero? Perhaps Tierney on the left.
