This has 2012 vibes written all over it for Chelsea. Including the superior opponent in the final.
Could make the argument that since Tuchel has been there. They might have been better than City.

didn't think Real were too bad first half but chelsea should have wrapped this up ages ago.

Chelsea seem to be a very energetic team. Lots of pace on the break and move the ball quickly but have harried Madrid for most the game.

I think they will give City more of a game but only problem is I don't want them to win either.

Credit to Tuchel two finals in half a season and resurrected their top 4 bid.

I really want Chelsea to lose but there's no way a City-Real final would be any sort of competition..... Any way UEFA can chuck all 3 out before 10pm?

Yeah, it'd be embarrassing.

I thought at the start of the season we had a good chance of winning the CL this season (without all the injuries etc we would have had a decent chance) and our main rivals were City and Bayern. City will win it without having to play Bayern at all or Liverpool (injuries aside). Chelsea might beat them, but between the two of them, who gives a shit?

We should get used to seeing City, Chelsea and sometimes PSG and Bayern dominate CL. These are the only teams who can spend a lot. Spanish and Italian clubs are done, United and Liverpool owners won't spend much.

I would have preferred the ESL, controversial opinion, but better than watching a repeat of this year's final/SF. ESL would have levelled the playing field.

So you would prefer a competition where the same teams win it or compete to the end?

Just wait for the United - Arsenal final in the Europa League as well.

It's certainly preferable to watching Chelsea-City.

Still the best dm in world football on current form

Him and Fabinho, on top form, are phenomenal. Streets ahead. Miles better than the likes of Casemiro, Rodri, Fernandinho and take your pick of god knows how many others.  Maybe not quite on Scott McTominays level though

The only source of amusement I could wring from this season now is for West Ham to finish fifth, then somehow Arsenal and Chelsea win the European trophies and we get to see Moyesy’s face turn to stone whilst wearing a natty cardigan. Admittedly slim pickings compared to the last couple of years.

I think this is a key point, especially as Juve, Barca, Real still haven't even quit ESL. They know they're fucked. They've been horrific this season in Europe.

The English teams at least have the PL cash cow and/or billionaire owners.

Just wait for the United - Arsenal final in the Europa League as well.

This would be the second time in three years we had all-PL finals in the CL and Europa if that happened.

Since 2019, European finalists:
-Liverpool
-Spurs
-Arsenal
-Chelsea x2
-Man City
-Man United (assuming 6-2 first leg is enough)
-Arsenal or Villarreal
-Bayern
-PSG
-Sevilla
-Inter

Hmmm, wonder why the top Spanish/Italian sides were worried about money and UEFA competition.

It's almost like we pissed off somebody up there by winning nearly everything for two seasons straight.

The only way this season could have been worse was if the Mancs had won the league or if Everton had qualified for the CL with us missing out. Absolutely everything has gone wrong.
