Liverpool vs Tottenham, Wednesday 16 Dec 2020, 8.00pm Amazon PrimeIs this the biggest game of the season of the season so far? Probably. No doubt Tottenham are in good form; they're set up as a typical Mourinho side, minimising opportunities for the opposition and relying on Kane and Son to do something at the other end. And it's been working. Son in particular has been performing as well as anyone in the league so it's probably going to be one of our most difficult games this season. If it follows the pattern of last season's game, I'd take it.Despite our plethora of victories by one goal last year, this was one which should have been for more comfortable than the final 2-1 result. Still, it reflected this side that Klopp’s built; despite an early setback, we pummelled them and pummelled them until they wilted and our captain stepped up with the equaliser before Salah converted the winner.Given the way this season has gone, and with the Palace game at 12.30pm on Saturday and in particular, the way Mourinho will set up, we’re going to need all of what we showed last season. I can see it being frustrating, not only in terms of the lack of space and opportunities Tottenham will try and deny us but also the classic Mourinho shithousery that will no doubt be at play from the first minute. I mean Tottenham were pretty adept at that under Pochettino anyway, so it's been no problem for Mourinho to add a little of his flourish to an already well oiled machine.I suppose with Jota out, it makes Klopp’s decision who to play up front easier, you know, the one which has been half decent over the past three and a half years so. In particular, despite getting back to his brilliant self against Wolves after a couple of so-so performances (we can let him off for that after a four years of awesomeness, I think), Mane hasn’t scored for a while and it’d be nice for him get back on the scoresheet, something like his performance in 2017 wouldn’t go amiss:https://www.youtube.com/v/PlvP1GeGlmsThe other thing that's going be welcome will be having the fans back. Against Wolves the difference was immediate and it’s going to be so important on Wednesday as well, it’s exactly the type of game where we can make a massive difference. Whoever is going on Wednesday, I hope you enjoy it; take us clear in the league
