So I’m as surprised as anyone that here we are, at match day six, having actually qualified top with a game to spare.
And given those circumstances and the fact it’s the season to be jolly, I thought we could have a little bit of fun with this preview.

Yes, its competition time, and we are playing for the most prestigious title of “Kings of the Leeks – The RAWK Mole”.
All you have to do is guess the actual first 11 for Wednesday evenings game (it’s a 17:55 kick off don’t forget).

With the likely involvement of only the fringiest of fringe players and members of the u23s this is no easy task, not knowing who will be fit makes it even more difficult… unless you are the actual mole.
There are no rules except only your first entry will be counted – the first person in the thread to post the correct line up wins – the mods might even change their username to King of the Leeks or something great in recognition of the big win.

So to start the ball rolling here’s my guess

Adrian, N Williams, R Williams, Koumetio, Tsimikas, Milner, Cain, Clarkson, Minamino, Origi, Shaqiri

11 Midtjylland are finding it hard to pick up our midfield players, and sometimes they take a few chances with their passes back to the goalie.

18 Decent from Tsimikas down the left. He puts in a ball which comes to nothing but we keep the move alive. This time a cross from the right by Minamino and Jota gets a shot in from close range which the keeper does well to save.

23 The Danes put a cross in, well dealt with by Tsimikas. His clearance however hits Fab and it’s a corner. We aren’t convincing with our defending but eventually Kelleher claims it.

A surprisingly good game for a total dead rubber.

Some marvellous play by TAA who drives down the right. He puts a cross in form the line. It makes its way to Keita just inside the area and his firm shot is saved.
