The greatest James Bond, in my view, and iconic in so many films. He will be missed.
It doesn't seem to get mentioned in nostalgia about his filmography, but my very favourite of his films is 'Robin and Marion'.
An older but still stunningly beautiful Audrey Hepburn starring with him, and the incomparable Robert Shaw as the Sheriff of Nottingham, and Nicol Williamson as Little John. Not even mentioning Richard Harris as Richard and Ronnie Barker as Tuck.
A gentle, whimsical and deeply sad reflection on legend and old age, with a truly touching love story at the heart of it. I think only Connery could have pulled off the older Robin, desperate to rediscover his youth, achievements and his one true love. And a John Barry score to round it all off. I just love this film.
