that assist says a lot about him
that he's also a team player..

many others, faced with a similar situation,  would have taken the shot ..at the goalkeeper, which has a 70% chance of been stopped

I like these players - fast, low center of gravity, ability to cut, dribble at speed. We already had Salah and Mane, and now Jota.

They're incredibly fun to watch, aren't they? You lean up off your seat every time they get the ball. Must be a nightmare for defenders too. As a defender you might relish or feel comfortable in a physical battle or trust your reading of the game, but you don't want to be backtracking at pace or having a fast, tricky dribbler taking you down the flanks or cutting into the box.

They cut into the balance in defenders minds, don't they? The better a defender is in reading the game, the more space he can afford to have between the attacker and him, but close up that space a bit and you can find yourself in their wake...

I thought he made himself really busy when he came on. Got a lot of the ball on that side and worked well with Mane (apart from when they ran into each other)

Should’ve brought him on for Bobby long before he actually did

That pass with his left foot to Gini for that big chance towards the end was sumptuous.

He genuinely looks boss. Even though he’s mostly been a sub he’s come on and really shown it from the first minute.

Going to be 3 from 4 before the end of the season, rather then a 3 with some subs currently.

He seems to have slotted in fairly seamlessly. There is a lot to be said for getting players who are already used to the pace of the league.
I think the same, can't stand him, but if you could have a £1million pound cheque or steve bruces head hollowed out and filled with pound coins which would you have?

He doesn't seem particularly fast to me, but the acceleration's great which is maybe more important. I might be wrong, mind, and he's actually really quick when he's flat out, but I just don't see it. Looks really in any case, and I like the way he cuts in front of players if he gets past them.. No complaints about this signing at all, and can't wait to see more of him.

Honest question here, did you watch the last night against Ajax? My recollection is he won numerous footraces often starting behind his opponent. Also went on one or two long dribbles where his pace and power was a real asset.

I did watch it mate, aye. The only time I can recall noting Jota's pace/lack thereof was when he charged down the keeper, but couldn't beat the defender to the loose ball and I remember thinking, 'Mane would have got to that,' but maybe the camera angle was a bit deceptive and I'm doing Jota a disservice here. The dribble or two that I remember mostly seemed to be him being quick off the mark and, well, just being good at dribbling. I wasn't fully focused on the match mind, so probably missed a fair few moments.

Anyways, I'm not having a go at him here as I think he has looked great in his early showings and this is the first time since we've had The Front Three that I can remember us having a standin of near the same ability level, I'm just saying I don't see this pace some people see. Acceleration sure, but not the top speed as far as I can tell, which sort of chimes with what most Wolves fans seemed to be saying about him. That said, I could be dead wrong or I might just have shit eyes.

Oh I know you're not having a go at him or anything like that. I just think you might be pleasantly surprised over the course of the season by just how quick he is. I have been in the first few games as initially I thought like you he was just quick off the mark but I've been impressed with his speed over a distance in the few outings he's had.
