Busy tonight and clearly not at Mane's level and needs time to get used to our system, but he wasn't the issue.

Seemed promising and was a glimmer of light on a dark day. He can definitely add something to the team/squad.

There was a system tonight?  :shite:

He looks good though but yes nowhere near Sadios level (not many are)

I'm surprised at the headers he's winning. Good player and was always involved. Maybe he should shoot more instead of laying it on for Salah, Keita or Bobby.

I think he looks very, very good. Instantly you can see that he is an upgrade on previous attacking options from the bench.

He's not at Mane's level of course, but I do think he's high quality enough to be challenging both him and Salah for gametime. Brings something a little different. And only 23! I'm excited about him.

Looked OK, drifted a bit, though; needed to be a bit more purposeful, as did the rest of them. Clearly a better backup to Mane than we have had so far.

Outrageous how he attacked one their players' foot with his thigh

Bright spark in a dark game tonight. If he can do this already, quite excited about what's to come once he's had more time to integrate and gel.

Jota did well. Combined nicely with Robbo. Probably the only other player besides Salah that can come away with credit. He has amazing core strength, shields the ball really well, and technically very comfortable. Considering Firmino's worrying form, it will be pretty interesting to see him in a more central role when Mane's back. I think he'd be a great foil for Mane + Salah.

He definitely wasn't the issue. Until 3-1 he was incisive, direct and combined very well with Robbo on that flank. He disappeared as we completely lost the grip on the game, but he really doesn't shoulder too much of the blame.

It was a bizarre game, not sure I've seen anything quite like it from us, but among some absolutely terrible performances, Jota looked very good. Along with Salah (clearly our best player) and maybe Robertson, they were the only ones who played well. We did create chances, and were decent going forward until their third goal, with Jota and Robertson being behind most of it on the left flank.

Said it after the Arsenal cup game - he really does remind me of young Robbie Fowler.  One bit of play in particular in that game, where he chested it between two defenders and opened up for a left foot volley (which Leno saved), was great technique and exactly the same goal scoring instinct that made Fowler so great.

We really have picked up a gem here I think.

Reminds me of Bernardo Silva during his PED period  ;D

Pace, low centre of gravity and the ability to get across defenders and make recovery tackles largely impossible.

Really reminds me of Suarez - maybe not in ability, but has similar vision, movement, and defensive workrate. He even seems to run like Suarez with the ball.

Looked great. That 2nd goal, he just kept accelerating steadily in to the box, then cuts inside at rapid pace and in to the bottom corner. If he does that against Everton, my word it will be a fine day. But, can't see him starting against Everton, maybe a cameo off the bench.
