Nothing much to report so far except how good it is to be watching these lads play again.
I've just wiped the sticky residue from my bellend onto the television screen. Taste it Leo. You deserve it.

Keita has been the best player on the pitch. Other than Richarlison and Tom Davies though.

Naby and Sadio look sharp. Fab looking much better than he did pre-lockdown too.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Not bad, we're clearly better but are struggling to create chances.  Expect fresh subs in the 2nd half to make the difference.  Shame about Milner.

The number of fouls on Mane beggars belief.
He is pulled push, kicked, getting very little from Dean. Can't believe Davis wasn't booked for the foul on him earlier. Mane too honest in getting up.

Tight game but we are growing into it.

We are the hetter side, but so far we haven't created much. We need more from Firmino and Mane. Minamino has looked the sharpest of the front three so far.

A snooze fest but it's to be expected. Ancelotti has obviously instructed whoever their player on that side is to stick to Trent like glue and with no Robbo or even Milner, I'm afraid we'll have to use Mo a bit sooner than we'd have hoped.

Minamino has been good, works really hard at snapping up possession he just needs to work on getting used to the movement of others. That will come with games.

I found the booing at every decision amusing.

Just easing back into things really. Everton are allowing everyone to have a good feel of the ball, just not quite clicking in the final third yet.  Hopefully it’ll come.

Let's not beat around the bush, fucking dreadful that  ;D

Thought Keita and Minamino have looked sharp, both centre halves winning everything. The other way it's been poor though. If we can't score past Pickford for the 3rd straight season in this stadium it's fucking turd stuff. I'd get Origi and Salah on now

Gomez has to be solid now at left back. Think it's destined for 0-0, but if there's a goal it'll just be the one I think

Minamino really needs to take his chances in Salah's absence.

The first half of the first game back after three months off and a shorter ‘pre-season’ than usual is probably the prime moment to judge a new player ;D

Not really surprising it’s been scrappy at times. Some good movement and pressing from Naby and Minamino in particular. Clearly the better team, just need to shake off the rust.

Richarlison flinging himself about as per. Side booking for Milner. Shame for him but at least he can’t get a second yellow.

As expected I think, passes not quite clicking but a few promising signs. Keita looking decent. Thought Bobby should have played him in rather than shooting himself. Is Salah fit enough to come on at some point so we think?

Naby's got so much in his game, if he can keep injury free he'll be super.
Was worried that Minamino wasn't on the same wavelength as everyone else, but his pressing is good and he's getting involved.

Game is very meh though.

I really admire Ancelotti's pragmatism. Saw his players flirting with trying to pass it round from deep and went "Lads, nah, you're a bit crap. Sit back and hoof it up front for something on the offchance."

We're stupendously one sided without Robbo in there, and obviously Milner was hobbling a fair bit too there before going off. Lots of passing in front of them and best chance from a set piece with Matip.
