Two great pieces of skill from Mo save the day.  We were way too open and they could easily have come away with some points, but we just keep on winning somehow.  Really good habit to have.

3 points, a clean sheet, a semi-rest for Robbo, no yellow for Trent and another win which would have been more comfortable if VAR wasn't an absolute fucking mess. Get in. The only downside is Gini coming off... Hope he's OK. The injuries are really piling up now though.

Thank fuck for Mo and Alisson.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Sloppy as fuck but given that we had an intense game in midweek and this lot had a whole week, its understandable. Not sure how we kept a clean sheet, we were so careless in possession, but 3 points is all that matters.

Salah was fantastic, MOTM for me, and Becker made some important saves. How the fuck was Mane's goal offside?

Hoping that Gini's injury is not serious

Three points. Clean sheet. Job done. Shame about the Wijnaldum injury.

Also I didn't realize you don't get punished for kicking and holding Salah all game. Good to know. Officiating was shite.

Watford are fucking frauds. First game they've turned up for all season because they've got a new manager. Typical.

VAR is horrific, don't care if it goes for us or against us, it's bollocks either way, but knobheads who say Livarpool, we've had more goals ruled off than the opposition have and it's not giving us blatant pens.

Salah was great but why are we letting the media/opposition intimidate us into staying on our feet, so we don't get pens we should blatantly get?

The wind ruined the game. I looked at the forecast earlier and it's up to 50 mile an hour winds. Also having to go full tilt in Salzburg when we should have done the earlier and had the kids out, didn't help energy levels either and the accumulative fatigue leads to more injuries (Lovren, Gini).

But we won. 3 great points.

Could have done with Grujic and even Chirivella to tide us over this season

He was. There needs to be 2 defenders (with one of them usually being the goalie), but in this case Young Foster was ahead of their last 2 defenders.

Phew.

Job done, onwards and upwards.

Cheeky and sublime goals from Salah today, he's hitting his groove again at the right part of the season with the games coming thick and fast.

2-0! Phew. This was not a good performance, but we secured the win. Watford managed to create a number of chances, but were awful in their finishing. We got what we needed. Great counterattack for the first. That was quality, it was the difference between the teams and it was what won us the game. Top of the league!

Thoughts over the game. We started off really well and put some really good moves together but our final ball let us down somewhat. Had we taken one of those chances it would have been a different game. Watford hung in there, when we didn't get the goal they did start to apply the pressure. But they were also getting an awful lot of soft free kicks which helped break up the game and stopped it from being fluid. The refereeing against us at times is laughable.
