Maybe not as brilliant as his last performances, but still very solid. Probably could use a bit of a rest against Fulham, he's played a lot of football in the last 3/4 weeks.

Hard to rest him at the minute with other absences, he's really important. Maybe another 60.

He's now going up a level with each run of games he gets, keep him in as much as possible until Endo gets back and maybe then rotate.

sorry, Knight - I'm not sure if we're agreeing or at cross-purposes :)

I want Southgate to stay the hell away from all our players.  I get that it's important for the players, and I love 'em to death - but I'm 100% selfish on this.

I don't want to get to the end of a season thinking we missed out on silverware because we had too many players out injured due to overload "but at least Trent, Curtis, Joe etc got England caps" (in games I don't give a shit about)."

I agree it's probably better for us but I also have affection for our players, especially the likes of Jones, so would want it for him!

Give him a rest midweek, play Grav instead.

He has that Gini ability to keep the ball, and work it too, in stupidly confined spaces. But he has the edge on Gini in flair. Such a valuable player for Klopp.

Dunno about the 1st part, Szoboslai and Mac are real players. I reckon the 2nd past is 100% true mind. He offers defensive work and ball retention skills on another level to anyone else and as a result knits the whole midfield and team together when he's on it.

he's almost impossible to get the ball off at this point. his close skills under pressure are amazing and is hugely important to allow his mates to get sorted when we've been under pressure or are prepping for another attack.

what he did to White was absolutely wonderful, in more ways than one.  :)

Curtis is really impressing me. I didnt know he was this good.

He's definitely stepped up a level this season. He was always a talent but he no longer looks like an academy player trying to get by on raw ability alone. He's added tactical nous to couple with those natural ball skills, and is physically stronger as well.

Mad that he's still only 22. Several years off his peak. He will be immense for us in the long run.

A family member of his told me ages ago that one of his nicknames amongst the other players was The Iron Curtain because he was so strong physically and tough to get past in training. I didn't think anything of it at the time as I couldn't see it on the pitch but watching those Arsenal players bounce off him I now see where it comes from.

Southgate would be bonkers not to start him in the Euros. Him and Bellingham as the advanced centre mids would be quite a combination.
